This stuff is right up my alley as I had my bookkeeper who for many years counted every penny in and our of our businesses. I couldn't just tell her "Hey, Babs, just drop a couple zeros from that sales tax revenue report" or "hey, Barbara, add 1.4 million to the income statement and give it to me in Word".....
We wired plenty of money overseas....but for containers of goods and all through our regular bank account and our books.....

Manafort was hired by the Trump campaign to wrangle delegates before the convention. Period. If you recall, Ted Cruz was trying to steal delegates and NeverTrumpers were pushing for a brokered convention. Manafort's hiring didn't even have anything to do with Democrats.
1. He wasn't "hired", he agreed to work without being paid (openly at least) financial compensation, even though he was broke at the time, according to his bookkeeper's sworn testimony.
2. Although ostensibly initially brought on to the campaign to "wrangle delegates" he quickly became campaign chairman and chief strategist. He also organized and directed the Republican National Convention.
