Yet, they had the jacked up trucks, a car, boats, ATV and Jet Ski's and other items, but expected no one should even remotely consider the thought they did anything illegal to get it.

That's the cycles of envy that racism promotes. As for me, I was glad to see anyone get what they wanted, because that is what they wanted. If something is for sale, anyone who wants it can buy it if that's what they want to spend their money on.

Racism will always demonstrate its Ignorance when its the choice of attitude one adopts. Sadly there are so many ways that Racism presents itself, and then people act like others are suppose to be blind to it, simply because often the racist feels entitled to be racist.
Nothing to do with ignorance. It's about a defective heart.

No it's not needed. It's never needed. When you say percentages you are implying that blacks are equal to whites percentage wise when we know that's not true. A white person is going to be more educated and have more experience and therefore be more qualified. Nothing to do with the skin color. If blacks are 13% of the population doesn't mean that 13% are qualified for a job and therefore 13 percent of management should be black. Compare apples to apples. When that was done the pay scale difference between men and women for similar jobs was negligible and in some cases women earned more.
Minorities made large gains before the Civil Rights Act due to education.

Good to see you reaffirm your racism.

Of course it implies that. Why are there so many lawsuits from qualified non blacks who don't get hired or promoted or accepted into college?

Criteria is the use of information that legitimate businesses use during the hiring process.
You can think as it suits you, if ever you look beyond your want to be anguished, that's purely you choice.

Perspective, if you grasp or understood the premise of how % are utilized, you'd not have made such a statement.

If there is a 100 jobs and they are held by white men, or held by whites only, then that % factor would indicate that a representation of 13% minorities is the figure to represent the make up of the nations demographics in that job sector or industry. And based on the same metric XX% of white women, would also be represented in those jobs and that job sector. That's called "Diversity Representation". That's what Affirmative Action was designed to do.

If you care more about contention making than actual discussions. I'll leave you to deal with that within yourself.

I know a school that has a 50 percent drop out rate by senior year in high school.... Kids usually quit early to start earning money to help out their parents.

It must suck to be on the wrong side of history, so much.

Incorrect. It's about the percentage of those that are qualified.

AA is about forcing equal outcome, nothing to do with equality.

When you can use, facts, logic, and reason in order to seek the truth then and only then will your points have meaning.

Show proof racism, is the cause of blacks and hispanics being less educated and having lower incomes. Show proof racism is forcing those same groups to have the highest percentages of single parent families.

I guess whitey is outside of high schools stopping them from entering and finishing, right? While another group of white people are preventing blacks and hispanics from working fulltime jobs. And of course there is the white devil enticing blacks and hispanics to have kids before they are 21 and married too right? You wont touch on any of this because truth is treason to people that falsely play the race card.
If you want to know whats keeping them down, look in the mirror. Granted the racism crutch may be in the way for you to see the truth.

Jewish people are still being hated on, yet they are able to ignore that and be successful in the US and all over the world. In the south, non-Jews still will use phrases like "can I jew you down" when bargaining over the price of a potential purchase.

IMO many of the minority cultures just aren't all that interested in academic success. Of the recent immigrants to the US, most are just happy to be not living in their former countries. They are fine working minimum wage type jobs because, they are getting paid much more than they were back where they were from, plus they are now living in a safe and stable country. Also, they are content with their minimum wage jobs BECAUSE... they get government handouts and qualify for housing assistance when they are making minimum wages AND have so many dependents (children). And these minorities don't have a tradition of academic success. However, they all have their favorite soccer teams and pop musicians.

So coming from lands filled with strife, unrest, and poverty, the parents' first priorities are stability, safety and everyone in their families being happy, and that means they don't immediately push their children into the academic rat-race that most American parents are obsessed with.

With blacks, if they have issues with their slave roots, it seems to me from watching co-workers, is that blacks don't have a desire to be workaholics in order to achieve middle class or upper middle class levels. Being a workaholic feels to them like their boss is "the man" pushing them to work harder, and they just don't want to live that dynamic.

Anyway, these problems are about cultural clashes, not racial issues.

This must be a joke when it ignores the reality of the vast number of white people who have had the "white skin opportunity" in all things, and yet, after 100's of years, there is still a mass of uneducated whites under performing and non performing white people in every sectors of society !!! including the highest number of public service users as well as the previously mentioned FBI crime stats. Some areas have been generational with the same where whites have and continue to have systemic poverty and exhibit everything you mentioned, but you won't apply what you say equally unto white society.
Guess it just slipped right past the writers mind with their aims to try and promote some fiction of white superiority, to ignore the mass of white uneducated areas all across this country.

I certainly am not about to make any excuse for the black people who don't advance themselves, but I'm also not going to ignore the ramification of what is poverty and its impacts. And that applies to white people as well as it applies to black people.

One thing is true in life, "Despair" exist!!!! and within it, it's made up of many things, including historical
influences upon and within things, and it can includes in many aspects, any race and all races, as well as monetary measure, and also, a variety of social challenges, and some areas it still poses civic challenges, and this is true across the spectrum of human beings in reference to life in America.

How ironic... some seem to insist with the incessant aim to promote white superiority, is like an infection within some of these posting, its like these people can't get the Jim Crow ignorance training and groomed in concepts out of their mind. No one is going to submit to any aims of anyone's fictions to delude themselves that white people are superior. What white people have is more money than minorities in the broad spectrum of America, and how much was gotten can be traced to many elements of the old system of slavery and the system of segregation. Excluding others, while one race enriched themselves, is well documented in text available for any to research out.
But, beyond money... the element and principle of Person as Individual... is of value, especially in the minds and hearts of those who live and respect humanity, with humane considerations of others. That far supersedes money measurements....

Quote:
Some of these peoples postings are similar to people taking selfies while they walking off a cliff.... that's how desperate they seem to try and cling to the insidiousness of white superiority. The pursuit and want of such, continues to be as detrimental to blacks and white people, because white people who want that, do nothing but anguish themselves, rather than advance with society in skills, education, and social integrated interactions among the many other things is does as to damages within society of America people.

This is a thread wondering if racism is keeping blacks and minorities down... and what you point out only proves that it's not racism keeping them down. All races have successful people, but they also have unproductive members too.

IMO the main factors keeping failing blacks and failing minorities back is their CULTURE, LIFE PRIORITIES and LIFESTYLE. And that is not at all the fault of white people. In the 21st century and our global society, it's even more important to have at least a solid high school education, a good work ethic, speak and write business English, and have sensible lifetime goals and practice sound personal finance and having a good credit score.

IMO a college education is not needed for success if one was a good student through high school. In this economy and job market, becoming a skilled tradesperson is a very valid career choice. Having a good work ethic will get a person hired anywhere. Having good communication skills will lead to management opportunities or enable an entrepreneur to find funding and to be a great salesperson. Leaving frugally and within ones means will enable anyone to build equity in oneself, and then to buy real estate or start a business.

People who fail in our current society are those who lack the basic education to work jobs that pay more than minimum wages. Or they lack a good work ethic and no one wants to employ them. Poor speaking skills will also hinder their ability to find good jobs. Having children too early and out of wedlock will hold them back financially and hinder developing a career that pays well. Spending beyond their means, wasting money paying high credit card interest and tanking their credit rating with late or non-payments will prevent them from home ownership or staring a business.

In my first post on this thread, please review it, I addressed racism, but not the kind in the streets, but "systemic racism" devised and derived within by and through policy making, which is still a carry over from decades ago. key word is "policy", and "policy making", everyday street level racism generally causes it impact at the ballot box.
We know there is a long history of community policing based racism, which has been addressed by many Presidents, I did a personally review "Community Policing Studies of a 1960's, 1990's and 2015. We have people across America from Elizabeth Warren, to Koch Brothers, and others who are currently addressing racism in Judicial process and incarceration. That's real stuff!!!

Now as to Culture, life priorities and Lifestyle, that's a big package.

I do agree with the madness of school drop out, be it black or white, I do agree that people should develop skills, black and white people, and I do think people black and white have to address 'communication skills", and know the wide difference between what is back yard talk, and how business communication are handled with skilled communication. No slang and No unchecked emotionalism, because business has to deal with principles, factors of facts and format in what can and can't be done within the framework.

As to various things, working black people and certainly in the semi profession and profession ranks, have no interest and are quite displeased with the saggin, the shower caps in public, the house slippers and the head-rags and such things. No body who works a steady job they respect, has any want to see people coming out in public unprepared in self presentation, be it black or white. Because, I see some of both, black and white doing it, and its horrendous!!!!

I drive in areas of working poor and poor whites and working poor and poor blacks that are at the lower end of the income range. I see things that I think are "insidious", some white areas have junk piled up around the house, some black areas have junk piled up around the house, and both of these groups seem to "litter" more than people who work jobs they respect and semi-professional and professional people.
"Litter Pisses Me Off!!!!"; I'm not a fan of junk piled up around the house, or on the porch, I'm not a fan of non operable cars in the yard, the back yard and parked up beside the house. I also, don't care for unkept lawns, and people who destroy their front yards in communities where some try to take care of theirs.

I can''t grasp the understanding as to why people in this day and age, would even consider dropping out of school, "unless for some reason, poverty and dire straits is so severe they can't get their mind around school", and we have situations as such, because society suffers losses from death of parents, and many other things.
But... we do have programs in schools that can help... How do we people to take advantage of it, is a challenges. This applies to blacks and whites.
Hunger and Destitution is "hell", whether one is black or whites !!!! After people are in Destitution for so long, it is common that some become to feel everything is hopeless. Black and White.

I don't care for POLICY and POLICY MAKER, who focus on their anguish at the problem, INSTEAD of ramping up and improving programming that can truly help people uplift themselves from these situations.
I've discussed that in a variety of posting as to "ideals" that can work, and some certainly can work better than what we have.

Example, why did we give the wealthy 1.X Trillion in Tax, when we could have eliminated the Tax on People making minimum wage or people making under 25k -30K who have one or two kids, for at least 5yrs, and allow those who receive benefits to continue to get those benefits for the next 3yrs, while providing them with access to child care and vocational skill training. In 5 yrs the dynamics of such poverty would be changed !!! yes, there would be mandates!!! built in such a program. it will include drug and alcohol screening and treatment for those afflicted.
Another Example: A Civic Corp

We can do many things when we get rid of policy that has racial design impediments built in, or policy that is designed to diminish programming, by the frustrations and challenges of dealing with the challenged people in society. We have to design programs that no longer is cut short by "blame gaming", and imposing blame on peoples races.. we have to deal with problem that exist.

If people note, in America, when economic function for the masses, racism simmers down greatly among not just the people, but how they deal with their political ideology.

We have to understand the nightnmare society has been working it way through after 100's of years of structing society based on slavery, followed by another 100 yrs of segregation. We are ONLY 54 yrs from Civil Rights, and only 154 yrs from Slavery.... which means, the system of slavery and segregation lasted twice as long Plus, than the time we are from the Civil Rights Act, and only 53 yrs, from the time of the Voting Rights Act.
That tells us, we have 100's of years of how policy and system were structured and structure in systems was made, still to be corrected!!! We have 100's of years of how laws were managed and processed, still to be corrected!!!
This applies to the impact on blacks and poor whites...

The Vietnam war got in the way and derailed far too much in what LBJ was trying to do... but he did get Civil Rights Passed, Voting Rights Passed, VISTA, Job Corps, Head Start, Legal Services and the Community Action Program, Medicare and Medicaid and other works he achieved. When racism is diminished in the future, the future generations will come to review LBJ, outside of the Vietnam mess, and address the fact of damages that war did to stall out advances in a great many programs that were slated to deal with poverty and aims to eradicate it in America. LBJ fought against a monster in as to the racism he fought against to get the Civil Rights and Voting Rights passed. Society has failed to appreciate the dynamics, because its far too often covered over by the Vietnam War and the mess that evolved to be.

If people notice, how Civics education was diminished in schools after school integration, that has every stamp on it of a manner and tactic of racism, because it left too much of society, blacks and poor whites without the knowledge about political and civic matters and how it works. Then came "gerrymandering", which was made easy because people no longer had the ingrained knowledge of civics education to truly focus and know what was being done.

In some ways, what done in "systemic racism" is in many ways not all ways, but many ways, done as well to poor white people and certainly done to women in general.

Everybody is never going to just like Everybody, but we need not base it on anyone skin color. Heck, anyone in society can find any number of factors they don't like about someone else, without adding in anyone's skin color.

Whats even more insidious is, all the of the KKK members don't like each other, they may be part of the same organization, but they all are not like some best buddies in everything, now if they get rid of the skin color and ethnicity bias and prejudice, then they are like everyone else... who does not always like everyone else... The dumbest thing is not to like someone because of their skin, ethnicity or country of origin... because those are things that no one can change....

That's what makes racism so stupid.

Get off of it, you are not superior, you will never be superior and the more you purse trying to be, the more you demonstrate that you may suffer from an element of inferiority within, that you continue to try and compensate for. Only you can fix that, if or when you chose to do so, if ever.
You must live in a sheltered situation, not to know, young people having babies, that white people are right in the middle of it all, having babies.
All this crying and whining about "we want our country back", "my tax dollars", and "we've been left behind"... is a bunch of people who failed to get on the "equality train" !!!! And now white privilege won't give them what it once gave them for simply being with white skin... So now they whine, and want to blame others, when they had 100's of years of opportunity, which means, maybe there should not even be a poor white person in America, with all the 100's of yrs of accessibility they had just by being with white skin.

But guess what, everything you try to claim help black people back, is the same exact things that held poor white people back. The difference is, poor white people did not have blockage based on their skin color, where as black people did and in some cases still do.

What I think is simple.

A Poor White Kid and Poor Black Kid, want the same thing... which is "Opportunity and To Be respected as an individual. Both have the same capacity for learning, some face the challenge of how the system of education works from school to school, even within the same school district, and how that is impacted by how schools function based on the income levels of the community it exist. yes, in some area race may apply, but in the District, it matters too what is parental involvement with the school and the school district.

We are suffering today in a society that look at problems and challenges they choose to not fix, by diverting money "away from public education" rather than expand it and modernize it and make it meet and fit with the 21st Century. Some nation, especially in the Nordic Nations, they are looking at skill development training as a priority before young people finish high school. Some schools even here are improving how they teach technology within their programming. Yet, some don't even have computers on all the desk or a tablet for all the students.

We as a nation don't have time for the stupidity of racism, when we have mass work to do to get back to being the tops in global education in our schools, we are rated in the 20s not in the top 10.

That should be far more important than spinning the same racist stuff over and over and over as a society, its time to figure it out... we are all here!! as Americans....then let's all be so and move ahead as American People.

That Bu--Sh_t!!! of early times TV of showing everything as if America was all white, was fiction and drama, trying to promote a white dominance and white nationalist society, it was TV, it was fiction, it was not true.... but it influenced generations to trip out on such stupidity. Soap Opera's to Prime Time TV pushed that one dimensional stupidity for decades and people were dumb enough to buy into and have spend decades trying to emulate it... all while knowing its made of TV fiction and drama,.....

People need to get real with reality.... Living is not a TV show... its people ... actually doing the many jobs and task that it takes to serve and service the people that make up the nations population.
