Partly true. The media certainly started The Spanish-American War.
But media dishonesty is thwarted by amateurs doing the media's job for them. A good example is when Dan Rather attempted to pass off a forged letter implicating George Bush. The amateurs among us caught it immediately and exposed Rather for the fraud that he is.
The media is dishonest. Sometimes their dishonesty is thwarted, but sometimes the dishonest media is assisted by SJWs who are eager to believe the very worst at all times. All-in-all, I don't think The Left fools the people who really count.
