Yes, a publisher edits and selects. The protections a content provider have, do not apply to a content publisher. Content providers cannot censor or remove content as an open public communications platform. That is how they get the federal protection.

You sue the individual for libel, not the content provider.

They're not editing it, they removed it from their platform. The original is on his website.

They're under no contractual obligation to host his garbage.

Exactly. Nor do you have to be "licensed" in any way to avail yourself of that statute.

This is just another example of posts just making things up out of thin air and throwing it against the wall to see if it will stick.

Wasn't he behind that 'Jade Helm' alarmist nonsense? The project was real, and he was 100% fake and got a lot of gullible goofballs upset for nothing. Totally embarrassing.

Then there is that Sandy Hook 'child actors' crap. Alex Jones is a seriously demented soul, as are the people who believe him. Alex Jones is not a political voice, the man is a menace preying on the vulnerably poor in judgment and exploiting other people's tragedies for monetary gain.

What crime did Alex Jones commit on these open public communications platforms, called Social Media?
They cannot do what they did and keep the protections of 230.

Removing content from a server doesn't make you a publisher as long as the content itself isn't changed.

You've been told several reasons why this argument is flawed and keep repeating.

So let's update the list of things you've said that don't apply or wrong

1st,
Libel,
Rackateering,
public traded vs public domain,
Public utility,
230
Publisher,
Monopoly,

Did I miss any?

And you refuse to answer a very basic question I have asked 3 times now.

It isn't about what Jones and INFOwars has said.
It is ALL ABOUT, what he might say.

He is that effective.

The deepstate colluded with the media(Operation Mockingbird) to do the same thing they have done to Jones, to Martin Luther King, when he was effective.

The deepstate colluded with the media, to do the same thing they have done to Jones, to Malcolm X, when he was effective.

The deepstate colluded with the media to do the same thing they have done to Jones, to Ron Paul, when he was effective.

The deepstate has been colluding with the media for 3 years, to do the same thing they have done to Jones, to Donald J. Trump, because he is effective.

If Net Neutrality would have passed, not only would Jones social media be removed, his entire website would have been removed.

A book or paper publisher selects the articles that it wants to publish. That's entirely different from social media that lets everyone publish and then selects what people it wants to censor.
