People don't have a problem with immigration. They have a problem with illegals breaking the law and entering our country.

Translation: It's the context, stupid!

"Illegals" isn't a world. Try again.

And yes, many white Americans do have a problem with immigration - specifically from places where people have a different skin color. And they use the same non-word ("illegals"). Same you-know-what, different racist.

Oh stop. You're spouting the party line without even thinking. You posted an article about immigration in general because of all that's going on today when all along people have been saying they only have a problem with illegal aliens.

It has zip to do with skin color.

Leftists are relentless, unconscionable liars, as this thread demonstrates, yet again.

Well, let's see. How many illegals are here from countries where the people have the "right" skin color, and how many are from countries where most have a "different" skin color? Which is the bigger problem?

Interestingly, many of those deported are visa overstays, which are predominantly Chinese, but after that are white people. I guess someone didn't get the memo that we're only upset with brown illegals.

I'll have to look for current numbers on whether deportation of those who crossed our southern border are equal to visa deportations yet.

Hard to find numbers. Most of the recent articles in the news are focused on Mexicans and Central Americans. I did find this, though:

"As border apprehensions have declined, estimates show a growing proportion of the undocumented population legally entered the country on visas but overstayed the time limits on those visas. A Center for Migration Studies report estimates that 44 percent of those in living in the U.S. illegally in 2015 were visa overstays. That’s up from an estimated 41 percent in 2008.

The CMS report, written by Robert Warren, a former director of the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service’s statistics division, says 65 percent of net arrivals — those joining the undocumented population — from 2008 to 2015 were visa overstays."

Yeah racial resentment sounds like racism to me. No need to fancy it up, racism covers a lot of ground.

The biggest racial divide currently in America is caused by the constant false accusations of racism, which invariably come from the left side of the aisle. This foments division in a number of predictable ways--those falsely accused are inflamed, those who buy into the false accusations are inflamed, and genuine victims cannot obtain justice due to a 'boy cries wolf' effect.

OP provides us right here with a good example.

That's not true a lot of these people don't want any immigrants and it is because of racism and prejudice. They hate anyone who doesn't speak English even if they are legal immigrants, they hate people who are not white the most.
