It dates back to at least 1798 when Proofs of a Conspiracy was published.

Out of that list the only one that is plausible is 1. The rest is total horse ****.
And all those folks have a right to vote, scary.

Sorry but that's just f____ STUPID!
It is theories like that that make all conspiracy believers look dumb. They lump those people who believe in a flat earth alongside those of us who have researched and found evidence that supports certain conspiracies.
To me the 2 most insane conspiracy theories are that men didn't land on the moon and that the earth is flat. Both are beyond ridiculous.
Flat earth theories are another example of disinformation. Some of the people talking it up are just crazy. But others are paid disinformation agents of intelligence agencies. Their job is to slander/discredit all conspiracy theorists and conspiracy theories.

This is the reply I most closely agree with. I don't agree with you very often T0103E, but in this case, I sort of. The only difference may be to degree, not kind.

1. That the U.S. has intentionally started/created wars with other countries due to power and/or profit motives alone
6. That there is a current and active plot among some people in government to make the U.S. something other than what the "founding fathers" intended (Fascist, Socialist, Communist, whatever)

None in the 20th Century for both. #1. Iraq motivated in part by oil, but I think there's more to it than oil (Saddam as a scapegoat for 9/11, honest belief in WMD, support Israel, and such)

#6 I think it's making the US into a semi-fascist regime (but I'm not of The World Can't Wait and their ilk).

I believe what is said in your link is true.

However, based on my research, I believe things like the dumbing down of schools are done to meet several objectives, not just one. The elite are very efficient at advancing their agenda for ever more power and control.

I find it interesting that many who call others out for their lack of critical thinking skills will engage in name calling but never actually take the time to use their supposedly superior critical thinking skills to refute what someone has said.

Many of us who believe conspiracy theories see the political system as somewhat or completely inconsequential. If it's not clear to people that the political system isn't the highest level of power, then I don't know what to say.

IMO, there is nothing that our government won’t do or hide from everyone.

I'm not going to waste time arguing with people that think little green men landed in Roswell or can't do some basic research or look up some documentary on the Kennedy assassination. It's like trying to argue with a flat Earth'r or someone that believes the Bible literally. Nothing you say is going to change their mind they believe because they want to believe.

Simple logic can refute most of the claims. It's like the idiots that think companies are sitting on a cancer cure or the Clinton's killed 30 people or any number of stupid examples.

Not worth the time because nothing will come of it.

If you're dumb enough to believe that people are dumber due to some coordinated effort of some shadow organization despite evidence of sat / act, more degrees, etc.. Maybe it's you and your 50 year old high school diploma that are ignorant.
