Trump supporters will have back up saying it’s due to the tax increases and Trump overturning many of Obama’s regulations. But when I ask a Trump hater they say it’s because of Obama the economy is doing so well....I ask them to provide back up and they won’t. They just say “Trump hasn’t done anything”.
It’s strange that when I ask liberals to back up statements they don’t answer my question and ignore me. For example I had a friend post to another friends that she thought my friend was “uncomfortable with a black man in office”. She stated she was supporting Ben Carson for president so how could she be uncomfortable? No response.

This sounds condescending, but whatever.

To make a long story short. Economic policies take a while to see the effect, sometimes not for years. Imo, what will happen to the economy starting a few months from now is going to be squarely on Trump. If this economy is still booming deep into 2019 and is sustainable for a few years, you can give him credit. Especially since he he didn't add anything new to the economy except the Trump tax cut and tariff, which are very recent and the result won't be visible for a while.

The economy has been trending up since Obama took office. There is nothing groundbreaking about where we are at now. You look at the chart, see the line where Obama was in office and Trump is in office, and it's basically a continuation of what Obama started. In fact, the analysts and stock market's trend before the election clearly shows that the market expected Hillary to be just as good or better if she had been elected.

But what has happened the last few months however, is worrisome. Business and analysts are reporting that the spike in the economy is due to businesses buying materials way ahead of schedule due to the fear of tariff. It's like if you purchased all your entire year's grocery in the fist seven months of the year. This means the grocery's profit spiked from Jan to July, but it is going to be hurting in later half of the year. That's what this economy is doing, according to several studies.

So to answer your question, who's responsible for the booming economy? Well, it's mostly Obama and the Feds. They saved us from the Great Recession with bailouts, low interest, QE, etc. It jump started the economy and the businesses took it from there.

Your question is like asking, "Why isn't Kevin Durrant alone responsible for how good the Warrior is??" Well, the thing is, the Warriors were the best team in the world before Durrant arrived. He made them better, but the W would have won without him. Same with Trump, the economy is already booming before he was elected. He didn't really do much to it except for a tax cut and tariff, which were recent events that won't be felt until later; as I've said.

i have long said that eliminating the mass of job killing regulations would spur the economy on, and that has been proved. trump started cutting regulations early in his term, and the economy moved forward at a faster rate, and that was BEFORE the tax cuts.

Yeah he's doing a great job MAGA His administration just decided that we don't need to worry about asbestos, it's safe as milk

Some of President Trump’s most cartoonishly evil policy initiatives have come at the expense of the environment. In the past few months alone, his administration has lifted a ban importing big-game hunting trophies, sought to repeal California emissions standards and released a plan to gut the Endangered Species Act. It’s all done in the name of unmitigated capitalism, to which the president clearly feels the environment is beholden. So too, apparently, is the health of Americans, as the Environmental Protection Agency is now allowing asbestos to be legally used in construction. https://www.rollingstone.com/politic...bestos-707642/

Really? I'm interested in hearing more what the "Republican Congress" did when Obama was in office to stimulate the economy?

They hunkered down and screamed for AUSTERITY. A strategy that worked really well for Europe... Oh wait.

Oh that's right, they KILLED the Jobs Bill... oh wait, not that either.

They, eh, blocked everything that Obama wanted to do. Yup, that's it.

Unemployment is low but the deficit is steadily rising. I think it's only a matter of time before things take a turn for the worse.

Keynesian policies under Obama were far more effective Europe's austerity. I give a lot of credit to the previous administration for being proactive and not letting the recession draw out.

Trump's crowning achievement is corporate tax cuts, most of which have gone to stock buybacks. Most wage increases have been erased by inflation.

It's hard to tell - honestly.
