Then again the MSM parrots these things as fact with absolutely no proof.
It's not fake. Even the GOP chair of Senate Intel Committee issued a statement, not denying it. Guess is that it is classified info.

Yes, the article says, these same types are currently in use....but notice the article says nothing about being current and up to date.....

The 67 Florida independent Supervisor of Elections are independent. They run their own elections and make their own decisions, not taking direction from a "boss" at state level. The state government isn't their boss. All 67 are elected officials and have duties per the FL Constitution.

Ha ha Senator Nelson is the stupid liar we said he was.

You are Fake News!

Any Florida registered voter should confirm if your registration has been cancelled or changed. You want to ensure you are still registered when you show up to vote.

Watch for identify theft, since name, birth date, home address and social security number are part of voter registration records.

Sen. Bill Nelson (D-Fla.) on Wednesday said Russian hackers had successfully "penetrated" some of Florida's election systems ahead of the 2018 midterm elections.

"They have already penetrated certain counties in the state and they now have free rein to move about"

Nelson said leaders of the Senate Intelligence Committee encouraged him fellow Florida Sen. Marco Rubio (R) to notify Florida state election supervisors that "the Russians are in their records," according to the report.
Oh! Stop the presses! Notify Mueller! Tell Joy Behar! There's gonna be a party! It's over! It's over! Impeach Fodifav! Impeach Fodifav!

I'm looking for news and sources that Liar in Senate Nelson now claims that evidence probably doesn't exist. Saw it on FOX news this morning, which means it won't break on the Fakestream Lamestream Blamestream Mainstream media aka the internet for hours maybe days.

So, trying to hide evidence as "classified" is serving your constituents? Don't think an apology will suffice, actually.

Hmmm, I found something...

When anyone makes a claim and their proof is “its classified,” they are lying to you.

Anyway, a lot of people called foul. Rick Scott and the Florida Secretary of State, Ken Detzner, demanded that Nelson present some clue that would allow them to stop the problem. Homeland Security said this was news to them. And a week later, Nelson was caught on video essentially saying that he’d made it all up.
Does RedState constitute a Mainstream media source for y'all? Hmmm, didn't think so. I'll keep diggin.

How about you, Washington Times? You heard Nelson say something to the Tampa Bay Times ...

Quote:
Then, in an interview with The Tampa Bay Times, Mr. Nelson said Russians “had already penetrated certain counties in the state and they now have free rein to move about.”
Yeah, that's what we thought we heard coming from his piehole.

Marco Rubio met with several Elections Supervisors of Elections and told them of Russia hackers accessing one or more of the 67 County Elections systems. Rubio asked them not to tell the press and he didn't get into specifics about which county. Although he told the counties he was meeting with (8-10 of them) that it wasn't one of them.

Two supervisor of elections that attended that meeting with Rubio have confirmed what he said. They said they didn't go to the press at the time, per Rubio's request, but spoke about the meeting a month later, after Nelson made comments about the same issue that Rubio spoke of.

Rubio's comments to the FL Elections Supervisors corraborates what Nelson said. It's classified and neither is able to get into details. Neither has revealed the exact FL county impacted but Rubio said it wasn't one of the 8-10 (of 67) counties which Rubio met with at the Orlando airport in late May 2018.

Thank goodness that both Rubio and Nelson had a bi-partisan effort to contact the 67 FL Supervisors of Elections so they know this threat is very serious and so they know there is federal assistance available to them to protect the data.

It's good to know that both of Florida's Senators (1 R, 1 D) are teaming up to protect the voter registration data and voting data of Floridians, and not sitting back and ignoring the threat.

Georgia voters records had a security flaw which exposed data of 6 or 7 million GA voters. Kemp, who is running for GA governor, was complacent and didn't take the threat seriously. He might lose the election over this because Georgian's are unhappy that Kemp didn't take the threat seriously and that Kemp didn't take immediate steps to protect the data.

Kudos to both Senators in Florida - Rubio and Nelson, for taking the threat seriously and for teaming up to protect the data of Floridians.

That's fake news.

It's clever propaganda and disinformation intended to mislead people into believing the voting machines were hacked, instead of the truth, which is that the State's voter registration database was illegally accessed.

That might have a tendency to draw a little suspicion, not only from the poll workers, but from voters standing in line watching.

Rubio was talking to Florida County Election officials privately, asking them to keep it out of the media, Nelson was spewing it in a open forum at a campaign event in Talahassee...BIG DIFF.

Bill Nelson divulged classified information in a public forum, and that is treason.

Lock him up!

The Attorney General for the state of FL actually is their boss
His office is the one to certify election results
Remember the havoc Katherine Harris created
And the refusal of the current AG in FL to admit his systems are under attack is one reason the Russians are so successful at what they do...

Article in Washington Post this AM that Microsoft security unit discovered 5 sites designed by the Russian hackers Strontium--connected to Fancy Bear--designed as spear-fishing sites
They were mimicking established sites connected to current US websites and designed to capture traffic to those sites==sites related to non-partisan but supporting election security and foreign hacking among other topics---

They were caught early---in creation stage--before they were actually useable
Microsoft filed court order to take over the websites because they were infiltrating based on Microsoft's copywrited materials the original websites used

This is not anyone's imagination
The Russian government FSB is engaged in an active, professional infiltration of US websites related to election and informational sites and has no intention of doing anything GOOD with the information gained by its efforts...

ANYONE who tries to downplay or divert from this actual threat to American security is doing the work of Putin...
Basically becoming a party to Russian subtrifuge and counter-intelligence..

See that is exactly the kind of diversion that FSB appreciates because it ridicules the idea that hacking an election system is possible

Did you see the story that an election system company in Maryland was EMPLOYING a Russian agent???

https://wtop.com/maryland/2018/07/of...ction-systems/

Even a local Fox station gets that is the "truth"""
