Chattel slavery effected Blacks who were in fact declared inferior by our Supreme Court. Trying to soften the US position by "it was done to Whites too" is not going to fly.
Even today slavery exist... modern slavery (from all races, whites, blacks, asians). It's called the sex trafficking trade. When you watch a porn movie many of those girls are sex slaves. And yes, it exists in the U.S. People are still hung up on slavery that occurred over 100 years ago and ignore modern slavery.

When we work to make money and the gov't wants to keep taking more money from us through high taxation, someone else benefits from my work, we essentially become slaves.
Bent Bow, I guess you didn't get the memo. .Only Blacks could be slaves . All slaves from Africa were sent to the eastern United States and nowhere else .
The Araba slave trade that lasted in Africa from the 1200s to the early 1900 was just a myth..
