What's desirable about California? Most of the state is desert. Most of the rest is overcrowded, overpriced, over-regulated, overtaxed and filled with azzholes. WY has the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. CA has LAs Skid Row and the Mojave Desert. Yes, they have some beautiful coastline...great for the .01% of the population that can afford to buy a home on it.
Classic Yogi Berra-ism: Nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded.
Here: There's nothing desirable about California, it just has the highest population versus Wyoming that has the lowest population.
How about this: Idaho has militia bunkers and California has Joshua Tree, Yosemite, Channel Islands, Redwoods National Park, Sequia and Kings Canyon National Parks, etc, etc, etc.

Being intentionally obtuse is funny, but ineffective.
There’s a reason why California is packed AND expensive. There’s a reason why Wyoming is sparsely populated and cheap.
Desirability.
My state is nearly ALL desert, and it’s ten times more desirable than YOUR state. If you took a poll asking 100 people where they’d rather live, Arizona or Idaho, Idaho would get blown out. I’d be shocked if Idaho got 10 votes.

Whatever. People pay millions to live there. Those same people spend a few million for homes in Wyoming too, but they won’t live there. LMAO

No it’s not. That California is more desirable than Wyoming is not a matter of opinion.
Wyoming has always been a net "taker" state -- collecting more money from Washington DC than they pay in.
California is a "donor" state. We pay more in than we get back.
2015
Wyoming, federal taxes paid in -- $5.28 billion source
Wyoming, federal money received -- $8.8 billion source
Why doesn't Wyoming raise their own state taxes so they don't need to take $3.5 billion in federal assistance?
Isn't it time for Wyoming to pay its own way?
Your statement ignores a lot of really key economic concepts including a biggie called "Public Goods".
You have an ICBM base, national parks (as examples)...and then some major lengths of interstate. Oh there is also a large indian reservation there.
Those all add up to things that the whole country gets a benefit from but is credited to Wyoming as some sort of federal spending that benefits only them which is not the case. Plus they have <600k residents so that is going to distort things given huge amounts of interstate etc. with very few people.
