OP you're talking about torturing someone to death, presumably as a form of justice or revenge. That's never good, but perhaps could be understandable if someone did it to a person who they had just caught in the act of brutally killing or raping their child, in a fit of uncontrollable rage. That probably would not happen over a period of days though.
Torture for a purpose, that is ended once the purpose is achieved and used only to the intensity that is needed to get the desired result, is a bit more of a grey area. There are arguments for and against, and both sides have merit. The more extreme the circumstances the more likely I would be to side with those who would allow it, but I would never be entirely comfortable with it.
Yeah, I know most here will say torture of any kind is bad, but at the same time, say a group of people managed to get ahold of someone like Kim Jong Un and tortured him relentlessly for months having him undergo the worst pain possible until he finally died, would you honestly at all feel bad for him?
Why would people want Kim Jong Un tortured???
I would feel bad for him if that twisted fantasty occurred. I honestly feel bad for what happened to Saddam Hussein and especially Gadaffi in regards to them being tortured and killed.

Big Brother thinks you’re a bad person. That’s why you’re here in Room 101.
No it wouldn't. It would cause hundreds of thousands of others to take to the streets.
We have facilities for disorderly individuals like that.
