To the elites on the left that is crumbs. The dems could come together with the GOP and do bipartisan tax relief for working people but they seem to just want to obstruct.
Average low wage earners saw about nine hundred dollars with the tax breaks the higher you earned the more you saw.
The rising gas prices, tariffs and health care costs will eat that up by the end of this year.
The tax breaks were nothing but a scam to give permanent tax breaks for corporations and the uber wealthy.

Why should the dems be bipartisan when the republicans do the same thing when dems are running the show.
We have seen this over and over before.

The difference between average and median is still the same. Average does not take into account inequality. Whether thats in absolute wage or in absolute wage growth in percent.

Facts be known...if the "south" is conservative, it certainly has been historically MUCH lazier....by any or every measure. Some of this is due to disease (ignorance)....luckily, northern money and philanthropy cleaned up much of that.

So today we probably have equality to a sort in laziness...and/or ambition.....

Note - this is not far flung history as it was probably 1950 or after when it was fully cleaned up...even still, those parents were unable to be great examples for their children.

My last raise (four months ago) was 5.7%.

Not sure what the problem is.
And my raise was 1.7%...

I work for a Fortune 100 company too in engineering. Go figure.

Probably because they aren't forced to. It's up to the CEO's decision. It's all about greed at this point, that's all I see.

I dont think it was fear. People were more patriotic and felt more of a sense of duty back then, after coming out of WWII. Not just the CEOs, but the workers too. Workers didnt bounce around from job to job, shopping for the best deal, and CEOs treated the workers well and didnt close up shop to move to the nearest 3rd world country with workers who worked for pennies a day.

We have people with tens of billions fighting tooth and nail to get rid of the skimpy social safety nets we have for the people who are born disabled. How pathetic can these people get? They are like cocaine addicts. They apparently can never satisfy their own greed.

Benefits, particularly health insurance, are more costly than in 1974

It's honestly a sad state of affairs. Whatever happened to the human part of living? Seems like it's all money regardless of what it is.

I definitely think it was deliberate policy. If we look at history, its always been a constant war between workers and big capital owners. The policies i mention actually took place before WWII, with the Wall Street enemy no.1 Franklin D Roosevelt.
