The "In God We Trust" part is just window dressing. I think it's the voucher program for bullied students that'll have more impact. At least I hope so. Might be a good idea and it seems worth trying.

Your words were "compulsory education." Compulsory - involving or exercising compulsion; coercive.

FYI, parents can legally send their children to private schools or home school them.

I do agree with that 100%!!

If 'the people' ever needed to remove this govt from power, the US military would squash the effort in a hearbeat, this didnt happen by coincidence.

The technology of weaponry is far more advanced than a group of vigilantes with their pistols can go up against. If you want to squash the efforts of the US military, I am sure thoughts and prayers will be an effective weapon, perhaps a sign stating, "In God We Trust!"

Nah I actually proposed a solution that would work. Free of charge to the tax payers too.

The fact this one causes faux outrage and pokes you in the eye at least provides some entertainment value.
Oh, you were expecting an argument from a religious zealot were you? Can't help you there...

That's a good argument for repealing the Hughes amendment and NFA.

Parts of Appalachia are like that now. While the coal and lumber companies got rich exploiting the land and taking their ill-gotten loot back to their towns in the Northeast the local mountain people had very few educational opportunities apart from a few underfunded public schools. If it weren't for public schools (such as they are) generations of Appalachian folks would have grown up with no education at all.

And in the highly democratic part of Florida that has had a school shooting their solution is...to do nothing except to continue with their failed policies and not spending money on security.
