As I said, as long as you are OK with campaigning from the pulpit.
It would be more than campaigning from the pulpit. The richer churches would also be able to endorse their candidate through campaign finance.
The Johnson Amendment remove the tax exempt status they will then lobby and have the finance to do so, remove the amendment.
Two things here ...
One, the rich man's religion would be established the poor man can't afford.
Two, the rich man's church will then gain a leg up into government business.
As you said that no one is understanding ... no taxation without representation, it's the law.
Corrupt Churches and corrupt Government, together alas ... ain't we got fun.
well, this is pretty idiotic. churches don't cost the country anything.
Good. Then they should have no problem not getting fire protection or police protection, right? They don't pay for it, so why should they get the benefit? Right?

Why do you just ask the same question over and over that has been addressed without you addressing the follow up?

Because the Gish Gallop of words never answer the original question. Churches demand fire and police protection, but many (not all) do not give back anything of value to the community. Why should they get a free ride?

Sure they do. Luckily for the US, what little communists determine what does and does not have value doesn't get extra emphasis.

Every church I've ever belonged to does community service. So do my friends' churches. Interestingly, I just heard a story this morning on Omaha Nebraska TV about a Latter Day Saints church helping with an emergency preparedness program. It appears not to be on the web.

A community can enact a property tax. Are you OK with then giving the church the ability to campaign from the pulpit? We do not have taxation without representation in this country.
Indian gambling in Calif. and other states are the ones who get a free ride as far as paying taxes.
