No people don’t. Not all companies provide healthcare. And some take so much out of your paycheck that you pretty much can’t afford anything else.
most people do
most insurance is employer provided
There are an estimated 155 million people under age 65 covered by such plans. That dwarfs the 76 million or so people covered by Medicaid, the government-run program that benefits primarily poor people and children, and the approximately 55 million covered by Medicare, the government program primarily for senior citizens. https://www.cnbc.com/2016/07/13/numb...obamacare.html
most employer provided insurance the, employer pays 75%+ of the premium
Across the nation, employers are contributing, on average, 83 percent for single coverage and 72 percent for family coverage. Small employers tend to pay slightly more (85 percent) of single coverage and significantly less (65 percent) of family coverage. https://www.peoplekeep.com/blog/what...d-by-employers
Because it's a total failure and has driven up costs exponentially.
Surely this is understandable for someone who wants to end the War on Drugs because "it is a failure", and who resists building The Wall "because it won't work".
You would have a decent point, if only it were mostly true. (There is a thread of truth in your statement, but it is overwhelmingly not an accurate portrayal of fact.)
Strange enough many of those red states that joined the lawsuit against the ACA and voted to repeal it dozens of times are now in support of the provision to support preexisting conditions. Scott Walker of Wisconsin sticks out like a sore thumb, the language in the GOP repeal stated that providers could charge those with preexisting conditions more for their coverage. Now they are attempting to find ways to fund this provision.
Quote:
After confidently attacking the law in four consecutive elections, Republicans for the first time this year are playing defense. They are especially struggling to defend the provisions in the House-passed repeal bill, and a separate lawsuit by attorneys general and governors from 20 Republican states, to unravel the law's requirement that insurers provide coverage, with no surcharge, to patients with preexisting health conditions.
Why are Republicans Still Running Against Obamacare?
They aren't.
All kinds of Pubs are now falsely claiming that they support covering pre-existing conditions, even though they're pushing a lawsuit to end that provision of the ACA.
Because I don't want the government to mandate when I get a prostate exam
