Tariff Job Gains Exceed Losses by 20:1 - CPA

The Untold Story: Tariffs Are Driving Job Creation - CPA

Liberal Democrats just don't like solid, tangible product jobs.

They like made-up government jobs that serve no purpose and cubicle finance jobs that sell debt in fancy office buildings.

Hopefully, these tariff created created jobs create a massive President Trump landslide in 2020 and big wins for Republicans in 2018.

Hence, the reason why liberal cities tend to have very high commercial property taxes, very high electric rates and taxes on inventories.

Yeah, unlike Republicans who like made-up government jobs that serve the (ahem) noble purpose of paying someone $180K/year to say nice things about the POTUS and stroke his ever so fragile (but still YUGE) ego.

The question is, are the tariffs a negotiating ploy or long term policy? If they're the former they're pretty smart.

I know someone who's a PhD economist. He was a senior economist at a major international economic organization. You would think he'd be the kind of guy who would think that all tariffs are bad.

No. He agrees with Trump. He's dealt with trying to do business internationally, and had to deal with government that profess to being in favor of free trade, but lock foreign business out. Tariffing those countries companies out of the US, usually their biggest foreign market, is a good way of holding their feet to the fire.

Sarah Sanders? If small towns have public relations people, then why shouldn't President Trump.

Democrats want a leverage based economy based on lots of debt and taxes.

Republicans want a strong manufacturing and tangible-goods component to the economy.

Big, liberal cities are mainly employment programs for people who couldn't get a job in the private sector with the exception of basic public safety services and infrastructure, they serve very little purpose except to raise taxes.

Interesting, how the lack of people working tangible jobs which liberals have a disdain for is causing housing costs and related costs like lumber to skyrocket.

They were good manufacturing jobs.

400, 000 manufacturing jobs that Obama and all his economic guru's said were gone forever.

Obama had a chance to be honest and say they were gone forever as long as he was in office but he decided to lie. Like he always did.

Relatively straight forward to find disagreeing opinions...

The Tax Foundation view would be of particular concern.

Republicans recently blocked Obama's jobs bill that would have given tax breaks to US corporations that bring jobs back to America.
https://www.cnn.com/2012/07/19/polit...ked/index.html

Republicans blocked the “Stop Outsourcing of American Jobs” amendment. "The amendment would require that multinational corporations looking to invest offshore pay the same tax rate as small businesses or domestic companies investing here in America."

And republicans block democrat bills that would punish US corporations for outsourcing.
Senate GOP blocks bill that would promote less outsourcing

And democrats like Bernie Sanders support tariffs.

Republicans in congress oppose Trumps tariffs.

And perhaps Trumps trade war won't have the re-election effects you imagine. China is the real trade enemy of America, with currency manipulation, dumping on US markets, and the Chinese government subsidizing their corporations. But Trump started a trade war with the European Union, Canada, the Asian trade deals (that's a bunch of countries and big markets to go to war with, and perhaps their retaliatory trade war tariffs will noticeably damage many Trump supporting states.)

Presidents don't create jobs.

Tariffs are taxes.

Taxation is theft.

Therefore, tariffs are theft.
