"Press secretary Sarah Sanders says in a statement: "This book is nothing more than fabricated stories, many by former disgruntled employees, told to make the President look bad."

Woodward gives not one shred of proof of anything he says.
But I get where the book is an anti-Trump wet dream. McCain is dead & gone, Russian meme has died, they need something to keep their derangement fed for the day.
Woodward's fame and glory happened close to a 1/2 century ago.
He's irrelevant now. He's cashing in on the Trump derangement and past fame as the Nixon killer. Better send Woodward some money for the book. He will be laughing all the way to the bank at you. And if you think there is anything more to it than that, then you deserve to lose the money.

CNN continues to report that Woodward has hundreds of hours of taped interviews, diaries, journals and stolen documents from the White House to back up his book.
What I find disturbing that if it's true it's bad. If it is an exaggeration, or worse a flat out lie it's equally as bad.
Will the Generals Kelly and Maddus deny their remarks?
No. Both Kelly and Mattis were openly recorded during their interviews- Woodward always tapes everything- so denial won't help either of them. Like everyone who was interviewed, they knew up front they were going to be taped and that a book would be written that would contain their words.
Both are lifelong military men. They made decisions they had to live with all their adult lives. Many of those decisions got men killed or worse. I'm sure they are not worried at all about the consequences of their words to Woodward.
After all, who could Trump find to replace them if he fires them in a fit of pique? Both men have done a lot of heavy lifting for Trump. They might despise him, but they've done it anyway, because they were charged with the responsibility, and a soldier moves forward whether he likes it or not.
Can Trump find any others who are as willing to take those jobs on now if both are fired? He's running out of eligible replacements and he knows it.
