Looking at other stories in this posted link makes me think its a made up story not unlike a National Enquirer piece,as such its total bs.

ONLY other mention of it seems to be on a couple of other far off sites, like hardcoreusanews, back in March, and civikus in May. Seems really legit.

I saw Ted live in Mississippi in 1972. Not shooting at anything, just playing his guitar. Damn he was good! I loved the Amboy Dukes. This was before he totally lost his brains. He was just starting into the phase of wearing a loin cloth. It's a memory I will always carry with me. I have no desire to see him now.
