Well, she expressed sorrow for the family, friends, and community of Mollie. She also said we need an effective immigration system, and then went back to her original topic which was the family separation issue.
I don’t know what else you could do. And she never said that the family should focus on this. I hate it when you guys twist quotes. It’s a form of lying.
Aye- that it is. Twisted crap. Seems the GOP faithful use it more and more to spread disinformation.
It’s imperative that conservatives and independents who lean right get out and vote in November midterms.
Or we will have even more of these scary loony Dems in Congress....
I’m middle of the road fiscal conservative and there is no way in He\\ I’m voting for any GOP candidate. They’ve left the party to shores I wish not to swim on.
This is the same old formula that we've dealt with before, 1986, The Immigration Reform and Control Act - promises of enforcement with immediate amnesty. And of course the promises of enforcement never materialized. The bill called for a 50% increase in Border Patrol officers but did not provide a guarantee for funding. The tsunami of illegal immigrants in 1990s, exposing another shortcoming of the bill.
You want amnesty first, enforcement later,... didn't work before, won't work now. Laws can be broken, physical barriers are more permanent and will add one more layer of enforcement.
And the same thing could happen again. Hopefully the public understands this and holds the representatives feet to the fire.
But that in no way changes the inevitability of the event.
The wall thing is absurd. The new arrivals are arriving on airplanes not crossing borders. And if you built the barrier you simply push the crossers to the Rio Grande. And there is no way Texas is going to wall the river.
A practical level of enforcement - one that would bring the illegal alien total down 5% or so a year is close to impossible. Need to triple the size of the Immigration force and it would still be 20 years or more before success. And success may well never happen. And over those 20 years all hell would break loose.

You should know that laws can be made today and then unmade depending on the tide and who's in power. Laws will be broken, our laws are being ignored and people are defending people who break them. And people employ them encouraging more to come.
It's much harder to undo a physical barrier. Just because it won't stop the problem completely, doesn't mean you don't do anything. It's not an all or none thing like you seem to think. Use your brain and think past the rhetoric lvmensch
MANY is the answer. Later generations of legal immigrants aren't usually doing the particular jobs we are talking about.
My guess is that large meatpacking and such....operations in the Midwest are not, by and large, owned by super-liberals. But I could be wrong.
tyson foods - 75% of their donations to the GOP...
(biggest in the world - meat folks)
"Cargill is the largest privately held company in the United States, and its political contributions skew heavily—about 4 to 1—in favor of Republican members"
So. let's be real and accurate. These are largely GOP stalwarts hiring these folks.
If these jobs are in large urban centers, which most of them are, why wouldn't they be? When was the last time you heard of someone building mega construction sites in the sticks? I'm non-partison on this. If there is proof go after them.
How could she be so callous to be talking about illegal aliens who broke the law and who are being temporarily separated from their children as "the real problem"
It appears that Mollie was a runner and did cross country in high school. Her attacker looks quite small compared to the deputies. Do you think she could have outrun him or did he surprise her with an attack? I am glad that the murderer has been caught. May justice be quick and severe. RIP to a lovely young woman.
I read the first 3 pages and have to wonder how many of you idiots even watched the video. Just about none of you.
You read the title and nothing more. You and people like you are the reason our political system is ****.
