I do not know that Trump has ever expressed repentance or remorse for any his questionable behavior or statements.
From the knee of Roy Cohn. He'll never apologize. Ever. It's a sign of weakness, and he's never wrong. Maybe mistaken, or uninformed by someone else, but never wrong. Bigly character flaw. Sad!
Pence with a left leaning congress to put the kaibash on making Christianity the national religion and I think we're a whole lot better off than we are today.
It seems like Pence doesn't exist.
The other VPs seemed to have a lot more to do.
A quick google search and he has a full schedule. The MSM has no interest in covering him so therefore it appears different. Right now he is in Texas marking the anniversary of Hurricane Harvey meeting with local leaders and making speeches.
Perception and reality can be very different things. Shows the power of the media.
Arguably false, considering its a proven failure over an extended period of time. Both ideas are meant for the the trash heap of history.
I totally agree that pure socialism doesn't work, but it's been shown that pure capitalism doesn't work either. The good thing about Capitalism is that it's self correcting. For example, look at the mess that this country was in at the end turn of the 20th century. It was an awful place for anyone but the elite. I think that we lose sight of that. I'm not really pro-union, I believe they've run their useful course, but I also realize that they played a great (greatest) role in our now-established norm of 40-hour weeks, and child labor laws.
Laws like Sherman Anti-Trust were put in place because PURE capitalism needs checks and balances too.
We are, and SHOULD be a capitalistic based economy and country, but like other "bi-partisan" systems, we need the pull of socialistic ideas to keep our Capitalism in check:
-We don't need a welfare economy, but we do need to look after our infirm and our seniors.
-We don't need to socialize industry, but we do need to have some basic rules to protect people and the environment.
-In my opinion, we DO need to have universal health coverage, but it does not need to be 100% government run and administered.
The fact seems to be, as with most things, that a pure form of either system is not going to work. Ours is based in Capitalism, with some socialistic influence, and that seems to work. It's a shame that so many people are afraid of the word Socialism, without understanding the context. I'm IN NO WAY in favor of a Socialistic system for our country, but I am open minded enough to understand that some influence and undertones are not all bad. At the end of the day, even the people on the frings (Right and Left) add value to our equation, and help keep our society in the middle 50% of the economic and social spectrum, where it belongs.
The left better pray Pence never becomes president, he’s actually a real life conservative
Good. That would be much better that the populist airbag we have now.
