No because of the 14th but also the 13th and 15th amendment to the Constitution. I didn't think I had to say I agree with the original intent of the constitution except where it is amended.

Or were you referring to his initial statement this morning that he would vote for Kavanaugh prior to when he changed his mind and used his leverage to demand an investigation instead.

Don't get me wrong, he could very well end up voting for Kavanaugh, but he isn't saying that he will at this point in time.
It was on the news that way a few hours ago....but now...who knows...they are flipping and flopping around so much no one can keep up any more

I honestly don't know now

Frankly, it's not so much about the allegations (and there are more than one now), but about his blustering and lying. He lied about several things including whether he watched Ford's testimony. He said he did not, but he did watch it on video. He was extremely emotional and if he had been a woman, the senators would be calling that a problem. He portrayed himself as an upstanding person, but his classmates in high school and at Yale say he was a hard partying drinker. He seems to have given evidence that he cannot be impartial which is what a judge should be especially one on the supreme court. He has allowed himself to get very political which is not good for a judge.

Also note that contrary to the spin Republicans want to do saying that Democrats solicited her, Ford actually came forward privately before he was nominated when he was placed on the short list. Noone did anything at that time, though and I blame her senator (Feinstein) for that. This could have been investigated by the FBI during his background check if Feinstein had done her civic duty.

I realize that this is opinion, but in his testimony, he did deny, attack and reverse victim and offender.

GUILTY UNTILL PROVEN INNOCENT

Will this be the new norm ?

Let's evaluate the behavior of our Democrat Senators during the session we are discussing.
Do we really want these politicians representing us ?

Well, he had originally released a statement this morning prior to the Judiciary Committee vote that he was going to vote yes. But a lot has changed since then!

the democratic are stalling with everything they can, whatever they can find or make up till the mid term. That why they demand a fbi investigation. if they can stall and take over the senate, they get the court. with the court, trump gone

MAYBE flipped out his tallywhacker in from some girl in college. A lot of people said he would get drunk and belligerent during his college days.

He's all grown up now. Still pretty cocky, but should he be confirmed or not confirmed for stupid stuff he did when he was a kid?

He shouldn't be confirmed because he outright LIED under oath about his high school and college drinking, painting himself as if as goody-two shoes. People can overlook and forgive stupid stuff done during those years but he was not honest when asked about things he wrote in his year book. He was not honest about not blacking out after drinking as confirmed by his own written words and he was not honest about a least three other things regarding contradictory things HE wrote in his year book, trying to whitewash his youth. And other classmates have come forward to say just that. He was a heavy drinker, a sloppy drunk who got belligerent and passed out.

I think both sides can agree your constant posts threatening violence are being watched and you are not as anonymous as you think you are.

Basically she swears as she exited a second floor bathroom at a party she attended when she was 15, he and his friend were sloppy drunk and laughing and pushed her into an empty bedroom, and closed the door and turned the radio on loud and he jumped on top of her while his friend watched and he groped her and tried to take her clothes off and put his hand over her mouth when she tried to scream, and she was scared to death. Then his friend jumped on the bed and they all fell on the floor and she locked herself in the bathroom until she heard them go downstairs and then she went down and left and went home. He swears it never happened. The FBI is supposed to investigate and if they find he did something then he could be charged in Maryland (no statute of limitations on attempted rape), but more importantly he could be charged with lying under oath to the Senate. That's the story. Pick a side and believe who you like. Also two other women have charged him with lewd acts in high school and college and he denies that as well. It's anybody's guess how it will work out.
