I feel really sorry for everyone - everyone - who is now being forced by the FBI (read that and let it sink in) to testify regarding events that happened 36 years ago, while they were teenagers. My gosh, I'd be shaking in my boots. I went to my 35 year class reunion recently and my husband's as well and afterwards we were laughing about how so many people remember - and don't remember - specific things about those years. We reread our yearbook entries the other night and were particularly struck by how so many of them said something along the lines of "Never forget the (fill in the blank with some code word that apparently meant something then)" and we were both like, "Well, I don't even know what that means." One of my entries said "Never forget Atlanta and BOFU!" OK, what? Well, that didn't stick, that's for sure. Someone could make just about anything out of that statement. Yikes!
Who said demure or meek? He could have been mature and serious, as a judge should be. He even had to apologize for his behavior to senator Klobuchar.

The guy isn't on trial. The way that the Dems have treated him has been an abomination.
I loved it when he spoke over idiots like DF and KH. They tried to talk over him when they didn't get the answer they wanted. Again, he wasn't a witness on trial.
I wonder...
She went upstairs to go to the bathroom.
A reasonable assumption would be that she needed to use the toilet, not just change clothes (she could have changed clothes in any room of the house where she had privacy).
If she had to use the toilet, presumably she had a full bladder.
Many, if not most, people when confronted by a situation as she described, would lose control of bodily functions, and would have wet themselves (That would also have been a great defensive move!)
Apparently, she did not do that.
OK, it is a ridiculous thought. But still....
Very iffy, very unreliable measure. Some people can't go if they tense up and can't relax - this is not a realiable indicator of anything. But what a great detective you are!
I don't posts a lot on facebook but the feeds I see coming from women all across the US are showing a lot of outrage over the actions Democrats have taking to destroy this man.
Democrats have said since his nomination they would 100% fight his appointment. Nothing that could ever happen will change the Dems minds.
They are dirty in this process.
No surprise as we learned in the last presidential election that a lot of women are cool with sexual assault. Mitch McConnell said no to a vote when it was Obama`s time to nominate someone so spare us the "dirty" nonsense.
Yeah...now you're way too Kavanaugh-like in your behavior. I've seen some very flattering stills of HIM from Thursday - they scare the living crap out of me - you can almost see the spittle flying out of his mouth.
As for the calendar/diaries, I get that. Like Kavanaugh, my dad was an only child as well. He kept calendar/dairies similar to those of Kavanaugh. He also scrounged up and basically venerated any item or letter or photo he could find from any ancestor - which unfortunately makes it difficult emotionally for me to purge these items now that he's gone and his homestead has been sold. I have an attic full of things that I can't figure out what to do with. I even have IOUs from a country store his grandfather owned in the very early 20th century. I guess I'm supposed to be enthralled with these but sorry - it's just too much minutia for me.
By the way, I admit to reading my dad's diaries/calendars. After a bit, I just skimmed over them because frankly they were boring. But I do think that this tendency to document one's life in great detail may tie into the only child thing. Only children tend to think of themselves differently than kids who have siblings.
Since yearbooks and calendars were a thing for the Dems, why didn't we get to see Ford's? Hmmnn...
