Spotted this comment and thought it was funny because, let's face it, it's true.

Yeah me too and I have no idea how I got there or how I got home. I saw no one. I spoke to no one, no one saw me, when I got home my parents were asleep, even though I was solidly drunk and sort of beaten up and crying my eyes out from having been almost raped and threatened with death, But my parents were apparently okay to go to bed without me being home. I guess they were used to it. I was all of 15 years old after all. Anyhoo after that ONE beer, I don't remember a thing and nobody saw anything. And I decided to not tell anyone till today... 36 years later

Sorry - how do we know this? And yet Kavanaugh was a virgin? Captain of the football team, etc. etc....now THAT'S implausible.

However it is odd that he didn't demand an investigation.
If you were in his position and it was obvious to you, or at least very apparent to you, that the Left's aim is to force an FBI investigation to delay your confirmation until after the midterms, would you ask for a delay?

Wouldn't it be funny if dozens of men who 'partied' with Ford were uncovered by the FBI?

Sure she could have shared the person that requested anonymity with the republican staff, no possible way that could have been leaked.

As stated many times here in this thread, there is no limitation of rape, where this happened.
..

Since the alleged event happened in 1982 there may well be a statute of limitations since the general rule is that any charges are filed using the laws in effect at the time of the alleged incident.

I could wade through COMAR to look.

An investigation, on the other hand, keeps it in the news, even though nothing will be provable in either direction. And if the democrats are able to prolong the investigation long enough, they may gain enough democrats to keep him from being confirmed.
Even if that was the case and he doesn’t get approved they could always move to the next selection, anyone would be a better selection. The Federalist Society certainly has plenty of other choices. I’m surprised the ABA still gives him a positive approval rating after last week.

That’s rich considering it appears her letter was leaked by a Democrat on the committee. You do know they have confidential closed hearings, documentation, and investigations, right? You should remember because Booker was happy to break the sanctity of that confidentiality before.

I was giving the answer from his perspective. Why it would not be “odd” for him to not want an investigation, even if he is innocent. In his perspective, he does not want them to move onto another candidate.
