He really has some stones complaining that the democrats have gone too far.
McConnell is complaining that Democrats have gone too far?
The same McConnell that blocked a Supreme Court nominee for a year? The same McConnell that kept the American public from finding out about the Russia cyberattack on our election?
She said he was at the party. She said he attempted to rape her at the party. She said his friend was there too. It's "he said/she said".
His friend never said anything about being at/not being at the party. Besides, WHICH party. Surely there were many parties so how do we know WHICH party he is referring to? This must be discussed, under oath, in detail, with the public having access to the Q and A.
No, it doesn't need to be. Her highly dubious last-minute claim needs to be disregarded.
There are times and places for this kind of allegation to be made and considered, and she decided not to take advantage of any of them. She didn't even tell her friends at the time that this Kavanaugh kid was a kreep. She's making the story up.
Not sticking up for this guy but I don't understand why the allegation hasn't been brought forth in the past. Hasn't he been a judge for a while?
He has served on the 2nd Highest Federal Court for 12 years - issued 307 Opinions (which the Democrats showed no real interest in) -- they believe that in this "MeeToo" age that the Republicans won't even be able to question her. She doesn't remember the year it supposedly happened, the month or even season it supposedly happened, where it happened or who was there. She began with charges of "sexual misbehavior" and quickly escalated to "attempted rape" and "attempted murder".
She is totally clueless about pretty much everything EXCEPT that Brett Kavanaugh "did it".
I refer everyone back to A Rape on Campus On April 5, 2015, Rolling Stone retracted the article and published the independent report on the publication's history. UVA associate dean Nicole Eramo, the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity, and several fraternity members later filed lawsuits against Erdely and Rolling Stone. Rolling Stone lost at trial the suit filed by the university, and settled the lawsuits with the fraternity and its members.
In light of the findings, Erik Wemple of The Washington Post pronounced the story "a complete crock". In the Columbia Journalism Review, Bill Grueskin called the story "a mess—thinly sourced, full of erroneous assumptions, and plagued by gaping holes in the reporting". The Columbia Journalism Review called the story "this year's media-fail sweepstakes" and the Poynter Institute named it as the "Error of the Year" in journalism.
Give it a little more thought and maybe you can work it out.
Feinstein had the letter since the end of JULY 2018 ...... total silence.
She interviewed Kavanaugh in her office, questioned him under Oath in many hearings, sent 1,000's of questions for him to answer ------ total silence.
Total Silence right up until less than a week from the Senate Vote to confirm him -- all that after the Circus the Democrats made of the hearings, the paid Protestors and the "I am Spartacus" & other embarrassing speeches by the Democrats.
All of this is to "delay" the Vote any way they can. Democrats have refused to cooperate with normal precedent on this type of thing ...... which never happens right before the vote in an extensive vetting process. The Delay also keeps Investigators from finding any information about the Accuser - [b]who has scrubbed/erased her Social Media and web presence. It's that Handy-Dandy
This is a "get out the vote issue" for the Blue Wave.
Republicans can throw out all the conspiracy tales they want, this guy is toast.
This at the very least gave those democrats in red states a good reason for a no vote, if so they are back to swinging one republican.
Strangely there are certainly other good choices that the Federalist Society recommended, they seemed to have over reached on this one. The Gorsuch hearings went pretty quietly, this was not a good choice at this point in time.
