And yes, this should be investigated. Kavanaugh was a criminal in high school, we all know this. His drinking as a minor was a crime, and by now its clear he did that a lot. The only question now is...what kind of criminal was he. Was he just one who ignored laws like the drinking age, or was there more? And we know as a adult he is willing to perjure himself as well. The GOP will ignore those childhood crimes, and the perjury apparently, but they rightfully fear that ignoring his sexual assault of someone might be a bridge too far.
It just might be a bridge too far, given the current climate around sexual assaults.

Despite all the insults about her motives and accusations that she is lying, if there is not an investigation, if all that happens is a partisans on parade in the Senate, then we are left to believe that what she said happened actually happened.

That leaves the Senators who vote him in the position of defending the "boys will be boys" nonsense and the Supreme Court with a cloud over it.

The FBI never asked me about my high school days, not even my college days.

Kavanaugh's "alibi" in the tweet below is Mark Judge, a high school friend of Kavanaugh's who talked about getting blackout drunk "all the time" at high school parties.

You lefties just keep on re-bleating the same worn-out talking points, again and again. All of these have been processed and filed in a drawer. If Ford does not show on Monday - after she and the Democrats said last week that she wanted to testify - this is all but a done deal.

Get ready for some new slimy move by the Democrats in order to try to upset this process again.

Yes, I'm intentionally obtuse. Where are the others who "all knew about it"? Why haven't any of them come forth? They "all" knew, right? It shouldn't be too hard for an investigative journalist to get a roster of students and find at least one who will corroborate.

Let this second woman make good on her statement, too. None of this hit-and-run, say something then delete it, and refuse to talk to anyone about it after making the claim. Both her and Ford. They made the claims, come in and back it up.

They don't want death threats? But they shouldn't tweet anything about it unless they are willing to be questioned.

Here's where we are:
Judge Kavanaugh wants to testify under oath on Monday
Prof Ford refuses to testify under oath on Monday

We don't need to know ANY more.

This was roughly 35 years ago (1983-ish, we don't know exactly what year because the supposed "victim" doesn't remember when it supposedly happened ), and at least in the state I lived in at the time, beer and wine were legal at age 18. Liquor was 21.
