Her life and that of her family will change forever once she testifies. The earth won't stop rotating on its axis if she takes a few days to consider the consequences.

Reminds of Russell Crowe's character, Dr. Jeffrey Wigand, in The Insider.

Wigand was a chemist who testified against the tobacco companies in a landmark case. Becoming a whistleblower changed his life forever.

The scene where he was walking along the water's edge, trying to decide what criteria to use was incredibly powerful.

I'd bet good money she and her husband are trying to decide right now whether this is worth it.

Death threats will do that to a person.

I've repeatedly asked these supporters "exactly why do you support her" and "why should she be believed" and have yet to get any kind of answer.

That's because there IS no answer that's not simply "because I hate Trump and/or "I'm for abortion".

Mystery when one is the accuser is NOT a good look and doesn't lead to being believed by anyone but loons...
Couldn't rep you again, but this is right on point. This is not (or at least should not) be a negotiation. That she and the Dems think it is, just shows that it's all a political maneuver.

Well, that's what Kavanaugh has been doing. He's been spending hours being rehearsed for the hearing. Are you equally incensed by that?

Yes, I wonder what Kavanaugh and his family are thinking about with the death threats they are receiving.

But, it's obvious you don't give a damn about his family....

Progress? Hardly.

Democrats have been bringing a butter knife to a sword fight for years.

That appears to be changing.

Who knows if we'll ever find out if Kavanaugh tried to rape her or not.

Or if Republicans will succeed in putting a man who is a known liar and an alleged sexual predator on the Supreme Court.

Stay tuned.

Yet there are ongoing negotiations between the accuser's attorneys and the Senate Committee regarding dates and terms. This is negotiation whether you believe it or not. If you can't see that they are negotiating then you are in denial.

Neither person should be subjected to those types of threats and abuses
I hope the people making them are caught and punished because what they are doing is a Federal crime

But to ignore all the evidence about why women and girls do not come forward immediately when an assault of any strength happens is to just be wilfully ignorant of the pressure society and individuals put on females (and males) who do...
To claim she is making it up is the easiest road to take--however fraught with error it might be...
The blind refusal to accord her any semblance of respect is typical...
Happened with Anita Hill
Happens greater majority of the time
The biggest reason they don't come forward is your attitude
And please won't say you would believe her if she had done it sooner

The idea that you do not negotiate when accusing someone of felonies is nonsense.

Negotiations over felony accusations happen all the time.

Manafort is negotiating his felony accusations at this very moment.
