I've been watching the hearings, and what's funny is the protestors sound like screeching animals. You can't make out what the actual words are that they are screaming. So they're not getting any sort of message out. They just end up looking foolish.

AGAIN. SHOW IN THE CONSTITUTION WHERE IT SAYS THE SENATE SHOULD REFUSE TO HAVE HEARINGS FOR A SCJ IN THE PRESIDENT'S LAST YEAR IN OFFICE.

Don't pretend to be the party that follows the constitution, then hide behind a remark made by one person almost twenty years ago and never acted on.

It's not in the constitution, it never was. It was nothing more than political gaming that created an atmosphere filled with anger over the appointment of Supreme Court Justices.

The nasty level of that political gaming was made clear when Kavanaugh snarkily mentioned Merrick Garland in his introductory speech.

The GOP simply did the same in Obama's last year in office.

At the end of the day, liberals are essentially children in their mindset. They truly are mentally ill, being stuck in the adolescent stage of human development.

I am betting that no democrat will vote to confirm him and he will get by with 51 votes. Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND), Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Joe Donnelly (D-IN) voted for Gorsuch, but the heat is on high now.

If that is the excuse, then the Constitution is worth nothing more than toilet paper. If the GOP is going to say that the court appointment rules are meaningless because it didn't specify that they had to happen at all, then every rule McConnell likes to toss out should be met with laughter, insults and hostility.

After Merrick Garland and Kavanaugh's shameless snark against him, I don't think SCJ appointments will ever be normal again. There's just too much anger. They didn't make it better by releasing 42,000 pages hours before the hearing. The GOP has made this a nasty nasty business.

Funny how you stole a description of Trump from....everyone.
Democrats are the only adults in the room.
Republicans have up and coming corrupt staff telling them what to say....lest they one to their senses and agree with Democratic Adults on saving our democracy from masochistic racists.

Name where it happened. Name it. But now that Republicans have done this, they better not appoint one in Trump's fourth year.

And expect in the future, Democrats can refuse to release thousands of documents and release tens of thousands of pages just before the hearing of future SCJ nominees. The kinds of games the GOP has played with the Supreme Court will bite them back hard.
