This is why I'm ageist to some extent. Young people don't remember things like the day care center scandal. Instead, they get worked up, red in the face, and spit and cuss and curse when you ask them for evidence. Evidence is a thing, folks. It helps avoid errors. To be clear, I don't like Kavanaugh. Carry on.

Just want to make sure that's clear as people use statistics in very interesting ways on this board (by interesting read: poorly done).
Oh so you want to call every rape case that does not result in prosecution false?

I was right!

Just as you can't prove all true accusations are true, you can't prove all false accusations are false.

The true number of false accusations is higher than 2-8%.

Not all requests for evidence are made in bad faith. False accusations are a thing.

Nope. You're talking about "tweaked" statistics to make them look better. Read how they came to that conclusion: tweaked data. In raw data... Law enforcement agencies have found 41% of reported rapes to be false accusations.

I'll take the Cambridge Law Journal rather than vox.com as a reliable source. /snort

Not even remotely what I said so I can't decide if you skipped that unintentionally or intentionally. I said that those 40% you noted would not be cases of a rape accusation of being true or even untrue. Rather, it's an unknown as to the veracity. That's the way our court system works and I'm happy it does as it's much harder and at times impossible to prove one's innocence (e.g. prove you're not a witch). You do know why our founding fathers wanted it that way right? Look to our own country's history even to find out the rationale.

I think she meant day CARE worker. I was trying to figure out what a day worker was. I know the people involved in the original case. The women who started it was crazy and the police sent a letter out to all the parents which created mass hysteria. It was all down hill from there.
