But if the dems get in they will of course be investigating his perjury... and that would in fact debase the value of his statements...

it does look like Bret perjured himself ...
How do you know he perjured himself? Because someone said so? That's not evidence of perjury. That's evidence of nothing. She hasn't even claimed that under oath - perhaps she will but to date, this has not happened. You have an obvious bias and it's so ridiculous, I can barely take anything you say with any credence.

Anyone that makes an accusation like this needs to immediately be called to testify and give details and if they have no details then their story dismissed. We shouldn’t treat them with kids gloves

You legit just said in a previous post you think Kavanaugh perjured himself. How am I putting words into your mouth? Oh and for the record, I asked a question which is an interrogatory which implies it is not a declarative statement. Thus, that is in no way "putting words in [your] mouth."

Judge Kavanaugh has written a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee, part of which is below:
Last night, another false and uncorroborated accusation from 35 years ago was published. Once again, those alleged to have been witnesses to the event deny it ever happened. There is now a frenzy to come up with something—anything—that will block this process and a vote on my confirmation from occurring.

These are smears, pure and simple. And they debase our public discourse. But they are also a threat to any man or woman who wishes to serve our country. Such grotesque and obvious character assassination—if allowed to succeed—will dissuade competent and good people of all political persuasions from service.

As I told the Committee during my hearing, a federal judge must be independent, not swayed by public or political pressure. That is the kind of judge I will always be. I will not be intimidated into withdrawing from this process. The coordinated effort to destroy my good name will not drive me out. The vile threats of violence against my family will not drive me out. The last-minute character assassination will not succeed.

I have devoted my career to serving the public and the cause of justice, and particularly to promoting the equality and dignity of women. Women from every phase of my life have come forward to attest to my character. I am grateful to them. I owe it to them, and to my family, to defend my integrity and my name. I look forward to answering questions from the Senate on Thursday.

i suggest you take a deeper look, investigations into these types of things can be rather fast. Easy to investigate and if innocent put bret in before the elections.

you guys are much more afraid that an investigation will find there are charges to answer and thus lose your guy...

if he really is as innocent as you guys say then an investigation is exactly what you should want, it would mean his position would be hard to dispute.

without one you give the liberals a strong reason to come after him next jan....

I agree. So post the evidence corroborating any of the allegations. Let's see it.

also worth noting your question presumes these people are lying , when in fact their claims are very credible.
Nope. HuffPo conducted a poll. Only 25% of Americans consider Ford's allegation credible. Only 25%. For obvious reasons... no evidence and no witnesses.

Prove what you're saying, or, you're just jealous of someone who may have a better life than you.

How in the heck can you make such and claim and believe it or post it as fact when there is no evidence to support the claim and more to support it probably at best, is an over exaggeration. After we hear the testimony he gives and hers to if she really does testify, we can then judge. I would not judge anyone on hear say except to say, there are holes in a story. That is what I am saying now: holes in her story So far, except to deny the charges he hasn't had a story.
