What if it actually is? The people being encouraged to have lots of guns in the form of the second amendment come from a very different time in America, when it was crucial for the state to control the run-away slaves and to exterminate the indian tribes, as the US military was relatively weak. And the British were strong.
That time ended centuries ago and is not relevant in today's world.
The 2nd amendment isn't about controlling slaves or killing indians, just like it's never been about hunting deer.
"Its a white guy, we dont care if the gun is legal or not, even if it is, we dont want to do anything about it, yay guns! NOW BACK TO THE ILLEGALS THREAD!"
Some people are actually comforted by the thoughts and prayers of others. It's not all about you. Not sure why you think your position on this is superior to that of anyone else. Hopefully you'll eventually mature to the point where you understand that people who think differently than you aren't inferior. Let me guess - you're one of the tolerant Left? You may wish to brush up on the definition of tolerance.
Very true. Some people ARE comforted by the thoughts and prayers of others. Others aren't, because the prayers don't reflect their belief system. Would a Southern Baptist be comforted by Catholic prayers, well meaning though they may be? Would they be comforted by Muslim prayers? Would it comfort an atheist or Jew to hear that their deceased is now with Jesus?
And---let's be honest. How many people follow through with "thoughts and prayers?" If they hear about it on TV while they are preparing dinner or read about it on the phone while working out at the gym, are they really stopping to think about it and to pray? Will they remember last thing at night before bed to pray?
I do agree that we should all be tolerant of how other people deal with sorrow and express their caring---but so often this "thoughts and prayers" is just an empty phrase and doesn't provide any more comfort than the perfunctory "I'm sorry for your loss" does (although at least when this is uttered at a funeral the person has made an effort to be there, even if they don't have quite the words to say anything meaningful)>
a. The commission of any act defined by Federal, State or local ordinances as a criminal act is prohibited. These include, but are not limited to: graffiti, property damage, defacing, damaging or destroying any real or personal property, etc.
b. Possession of a weapon, even if legally carried (except by law enforcement officers) is absolutely prohibited on Landing property
Never happen. 3D guns are coming soon, meaning folks can even make their own.
Guns are not complex to make.
We already have several hundred million in circulation, btw.
I know people can make their own guns, even full autos are not that difficult to make.
I was referring more to public opinion on guns in general, we are being conditioned to think they are bad, and no civilian should have one (people siding with Govt and what would benefit them), thats the whole idea, if they can change public opinion on the issue, bans or laws against guns will be seen as a good thing, being done to protect health and safety of the public...they are doing the exact same thing with drugs.
Disgusting. These comments don’t help either. Folks are so quick to blame someone and don’t even realize it’s part of the reason we are at this point as Americans. Everyone is so damn dramatic and so sensational these days.
