The lack of compassion on this thread is staggering. A nine year old child committed suicide. Shame on you.
It’s exactly what I expect from Trump supporters. They have an unfathomable hatred towards the LGBT community and it’s really coming out in this thread.
I don’t care what the Trumpers say and science backs me up. Homosexuality cannot be “cured” by prayer and therapy. It can be suppressed but not changed. Suppressing it leads to mental health problems including depression (which can lead to suicide).

Trump was never anti-gay throughout his entire career. The left’s new best friend Mike Pence is a different story. He’s on a mission from god.
I thought girls were yucky when I was nine. I was wrong.
I wanted to marry my cat. lol
For most kids, 9 is way too young to understand one's identity like that, but the fact that this likely confusion resulted in him thinking he needed to kill himself says a lot about what's wrong with society.
Regardless of whether he knew what he was doing when he came out, it shouldn't draw persecution and cruelty.
Kids will be jerks to one another regardless, but they often learn that behavior from adults. And adults have no excuse at all.
