Point: anyone can declare any word at any time to be racist, especially when taken completely out of context and redefined. (BTW, I know it has nothing to do with this OP topic. That WAS the second point of my original post. The Clear Blue Sky Effect that the left is so fond of)
Perhaps you can stay on topic?

And why, pray tell, is "Poe's Law" the case these days? It never used to be. Once in my life, I actually read a satirical article and interpreted it as literal. I think it can be excused at times. But not understanding it at all in general? Nope. Not good. It literally kills so much of our great literature and satire from the past.

I could. And try to for the most part. But sometimes passion for a given thread or topic spills over. That OP (and specific word) was a perfect setup for the example.
President Trump today claimed Lester Holt "fudged the tape" of the interview he did admitting he fired Comey over the "Russia thing." I have thought Trump was an imbecile for some of the things he said, but this takes the cake. This is mental illness. If your crazy uncle Ralph said something similar, you'd worry about his sanity. With Trump, his supporters will say "he tells it like it is." Only one problem with that. This is not how it is.
He's also going back to calling the press the "enemy of the people." He's going to get someone attacked with that idiotic message.
It didn't take him long to say the hot mic recording with Billy Bush, where he bragged about being God's gift to women and how he could grab them by the *****. Once he could no longer deny it , he dismissed it as locker room talk.
Now here he is, almost 16 months after the interview with Holt and he blames Holt/ NBC, now that he has been made aware his words have consequences.
He's probably pissed that cable news, including Fox News, has been running non- stop coverage of the Mc Cain Memorial, transit, flight, arrival and ceremony.

They can tell if it has been cut, or edited.
Trump doesn't know that. He's not that smart.
And it has been proven -- he can say what he wants, when he wants and his base will defend it.

It didn't occur to me that someone could misconstrue my post. I've heard the term "fudge" many times. Like fudging one's taxes or expense reports. It's almost as if they are deflecting the subject of the thread on purpose.
They are.
