I'm late on this but does Trump own this plane? I don't think so. Those airplanes belong to the people. If anything, the people allowed the McCain family to transport his (McCain's) body.
That article is wrong. There are currently four C32A's available for executive transport. The VP did not "lend" his airplane to McCain's family. The four aircraft are assigned to special air missions based on priority and availability.
As others have said, "Air Force One" and "Air Force Two" are call signs assigned to any Air Force aircraft that the POTUS and VP happen to be flying in. They are not the aircraft themselves.

No, I feel some are confusing diplomacy with lying.
For example, Trump showed diplomacy dealing with Russia and North Korea managing to keep his cool while managing international relations. While McCain publically stated we should wipe NK off the face of the map.
Trump and McCain's fighting doesn't require diplomacy. They didn't like each other. So what.
No different saying you don't consider McCain a hero as McCain saying he thought Trump supporters were "crazies" including the parents of the kid murdered by illegals. Neither had much respect nor did either treat the other one with tact.
Or Hilary saying Trump supporters were "diplorables." No tact there. They attacked each other and the Americans that supported them.
They all do it, and it's just lying, and fighting and not one of them aren't guilty of it. Trumps is just magnified because he called out the media. You don't want to make the media your enemy. lol
Indeed--and just who is it that payed for the use of the plane? Huh? Who payed for the fuel? The maintenance? The piolots and crew salary? the wear and tear on the jet itself? The McCains? For a family worth tens of millions of dollars, asking for the Government to give them AF2 for their personal use is the height of arrogance is it not?
