That's not going to count for much with Trump, but it shows how good Sessions is at making the Attorney General's office dance to his tune. Sessions was a Senator for 10 years before Trump selected him, and was his state's Attorney General before he went to the Senate.
And before he became State Atty. General, President Reagan nominated him to be the Judge of the Alabama Federal Court in 1986. The nomination failed, mostly due to Session's racist comments that were made in his past.

All this just goes to show the depth of his experience, his expertise with the law, and how tough-minded Sessions is. He didn't get this far without all those qualities, and his ability to use them.

Sessions probably never knew the Russians were hacking us when he met with one during the campaign. At the time, he saw it as nothing much to worry about because nothing (so far) has come out of the meeting that was of any value to the campaign. At that time, Sessions didn't know for a fact Trump would become President.
No one knew that. No one thought a meeting with a Russian was going to be a big deal. Trump and his crew had been meeting Russians for decades.

But Sessions was also the very first to recuse himself as soon as he realized the depth of the real trouble he faced. Flynn never saw it coming, nor did Don Jr. or Cohen, or Manafort or any of the others who talked to the Russians, but Sessions did. Immediately.

Think of this: He is the top legal officer in the United States. Who, other than the Supreme Court, has any authority over him? There isn't another lawyer in the nation who can force him into testifying. Sessions doesn't have to testify unless SCOTUS orders him to, and even then, he retains all his powers as AG and still retains all his civil rights and protections.

Sessions knows this full well. The only single person that's a possible danger to him legally is the President. If Trump flies off his nut and fires him, Sessions becomes just another citizen, and the guys who work for him now can possibly force him to testify.

As AG, he's already been before Mueller's Grand Jury, and a Senate Committee, and hasn't cracked with either. Neither could crack him, and both tried. Sessions knows as long as he protects Trump as AG, they're both protected.
And Sessions sure doesn't want to bring himself down. He's far too intelligent to count on Trump pardoning him or anything else Trump can do after he's indicted.

So, Sessions, smart lawyer that he is, knows the only way he won't ever be indicted is to hold fast, take Trump's crap, and carry on.
He's carried on without breaking far longer than anyone else in Mueller's sights, and Mueller knows Sessions is as close to untouchable as it comes in this affair.
If Sessions had a weakness in his armor, Mueller would have found it by now.
Mueller doesn't want to indict Sessions. Mueller wants to indict Russian spies and their collaborators. That's all he was charged to do, and that's all he intends to do. If he had hard evidence on Sessions, he would have used it by now in some way.

Trump is someone else entirely. Legal trouble is nothing new to him; he's been in it all his adult life.
But all his life, he's had layers of lawyers to protect him and enough money to out-last the trouble. If he loses, and he has lost many times, he has always been able to just walk away and leave it up to his lawyers to sweep up the rubble afterwards.

All of us has seen the depth of Trump's legal team. He has always had many layers, but not now.
Mueller has systematically wiped out all of Trump's protection, layer by layer. Trump himself has done away with some of them. And some, like Manafort, were never lawyers at all, even though they protected him.

Now, he's down to Rudolph Giuliani, and we have all seen just how good Rudy is at protecting his client. He has a looser mouth than Trump! The guy doesn't know when to shut up!

Who else does Trump have? Jeff Sessions. Who does know how to shut up. Very well. And Sessions is a fast thinker who can go on the attack as quickly as he can shut up. That's a pretty valuable asset for a guy in deep trouble.

But that guy in deep trouble has the mentality of a petulant child, and we all know how kids are. One thing kids can't do well is control their impulses. Another thing kids do is try to place the blame on someone else, and those who are protecting them usually get the blame.

Kids don't know how to hang on and tough it out when they are caught in a slow grind.
They lack the patience and mental discipline to hold fast when the grinding starts hurting them. Since they've never suffered the consequences of their actions, all they want is the grinding to stop. So they look for a way to stop it. Any way they can find, whether it's good or not.

For sure, Sessions is hanging on for dear life. He's been on both sides of the grinder, and knows hanging on is all he can do if he hopes to save himself.

I'm not sure at all Trump knows anything at all about what can save him or not. He's never had to worry about it before, and he's never been in a situation before that he can't get out of easily.

Trump is Trump. He's always trusted those who flatter him or those he thinks are tough guys. Rudy has a tough guy reputation and has kissed Trumps butt until his lips were blistered, so Trump will trust Rudy.

Rudy is as crazy as a peach orchard boar. If Rudy tells Trump he has to fire Sessions, Trump will fire Sessions. And he'll lose the last reliable layer of protection he has when he does. Is Rudy smart enough to avoid that?
I don't know. But if I was a betting man, I wouldn't put money on the fact he is.

Sessions won't ever tell Mueller a damn thing, whether he's fired or not.
And if Jeff sees an advantage somewhere for himself, he could quit his job to grab it.
But so far, since he hasn't quit already, it's logical that there's no advantage for Sessions to quit now.

But if he's gone, Trump is nothing but meat for the grinder.
I'm not at all sure Trump realizes it, but with Sessions gone, Trump's troubles have just begun. There are now 6 other packs of hounds on his trail. Mueller makes seven.
I agree with much of your analysis. I don't believe especially Sessions or even Trump have really done anything wrong that would legally justify action against them. Simply put Trump is being a disloyal a-hole to an ally Sessions, has a grudge over the recusal and is scapegoating Sessions.

Yes. That all sounds very possible. Thank you for bringing it up.

Sessions got in over his head.

The first thing Andrew McCabe did when he became acting head of the FBI was to bring a criminal investigation into Sessions, sending a very clear message to Sessions, don't even think about exposing what we did.

Sessions has been in DC a long time, he knows better than to expose the corruption, or they will come after you. Just look at both Trump, and Flynn. Flynn exposed that the Obama administration was arming, and funding radical jihadi, and Trump is a direct threat to all of DC, and is facing a rouge special counsel.

Sessions found out he was in way over his head very quickly, and is probably hoping Trump will fire him so he can get out of the job.

I don't believe Sessions is in over his head. Maybe Trump might be. Sessions not being a devious person maybe didn't expect never-Trump republicans and democrats to act so deviously. I think Session really believes in his policies he's effecting at the DOJ and just wants to stay in and effect those policies.

AND

Huber the prosecutor hired by Sessions. There are rumors of sealed indictments?

Let's see what y'all are thinking.
The rumors come from "Q Anon". Anyone who believes that garbage really needs to investigate.

I will help you out: Look at Jack Posobeic's twitter feed today. Look at who he interviewed. Look up that person on Gab.ai.

That person was doxxed, and that person's real name is now out there for all to see.

Find out exactly who that person is, and what that person has done.

It's not hard to find the information.

Q Anon was a complete hoax. There is no "4D chess", there is no "Sessions and Trump have a plan", there is nothing. It started out as trolling, thousands of boomers fell for it. The original Q passed it off to newer Qs who then took it into "dangerous" (quote by the original) territory, and he, the original, will be outing the newer ones who have lied to many Conservatives.

There is no plan. Do not expect any plan. Get out and vote and stop relying on some great plan that doesn't actually exist. That is the message from the original Q who fooled way too many people.

Start at Jack Posobeic's twitter feed.

If, after you have done that, you need more proof, let me know and I'll show you some videos from someone who was involved in all of this revealing everything.
