The actual poll is pretty reflective of the country. About 25% of the country support Trump. The 'silent majority' has been a myth. Trump supporters are some of the loudest complainers out there.
Very true Trump supporters are about a quarter of the population. They are the last gasp of far right ideology in America.

........ Well, that and their 237 Representatives, 51 Senators and 33 Republican governors.
But to be fair, we Republicans get a lot of help from Democrats like Batshyt Booker.

That will diminish when the GOP gerrymandering is dismissed.

there is a silent majority out there that few are listening to at their own peril. and many of them are supporting trump based on the condition of the economy that they see, and not what the left wing media is proclaiming.
It’s Trump’s economy now, and remember he promised change and if they don’t see rising wages or good quality jobs, they won’t think twice about kicking him onto the curb.

It’s true, there is not many of them but they are really loud and have a whole echo chamber of recycled talking points and bumper slogans at their disposal.
Not only do I believe Trump supporters are not the majority in our country's population, I don't believe Trump supporters are the majority on this very website.
Bellicose noise, in and of itself, is not representative of actual numbers.
[quote=bawac34618;53013875]Despite the fact that Trump has had an official approval rating of 35-40% through most of his term, Trump supporters believe they are a "silent majority" and that Trump will be re-elected in a landslide in 2020. However no statistics seem to support this. Even the most pro-Trump poll we have, Rasmussen, has rarely had him with an approval rating above 50%. Trump LOST the popular vote and only is President because he got just enough votes in the right states to win the electoral college.
Trump's true popularity matters given his style of governing and the fact that he and his supporters believe they have a mandate to enact very divisive policies that typically benefit Trump's base at the expense of everyone else. In addition, on issues typically important to Trump supporters i.e. immigration, abortion, church/state relations, climate change, cannabis, gay marriage, etc, the liberal position typically out-polls the conservative one by a significant margin.
So do you believe that Trump supporters are actually a majority? Is his real approval rating higher than 50%?[/quote}
No! Hillary Clinton receive 3 million more VOTES than Donald Trump!
