Donald Trump has never gone bankrupt, good lord stop spreading stupid lies. Out of roughly 500 businesses he's owned or partially owned he's had 4 or 5 file for bankruptcy protection.
Actually those "500 businesses" are not 'businesses' that do anything other than hold assets.
Most are LLCs--shell companies that hold real estate. Lots of people use them to own real estate or protect assets from personal liability. You can create one overnight. Why do you think the new tax laws benefited Trump in so many ways?
Of his real businesses, many have gone down in flames. Meat, vodka, airline, board games, magazines, mortgages, university, casinos.
"...One of the most notable provisions in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act is a 20 percent deduction for qualified business income from so-called pass-through entities, including S corporations and limited liability companies..."
That's why he went after Russian dollars. No banks in the US would loan him money. There are enough sub-contractors out of business because Trump would not pay them. Now he and his buddy are looking at ways to not pay for contracts between the US and our sub-contractors.
Just like the GOP here in NC. Just stop fixing stuff.
No, companies that Trump controlled went bankrupt at least 6 times.
Trump hasn't ever gone through a personal bankruptcy.
1000s of workers kept jobs. Unlike the 10s of 1000s that lost theirs at Eastern.
The idiot old man Bush starts war in Iraq. Recession results.
Trump wasn't making enough money to pay the debt he inherited.
Bankruptcy involved working with the banks to ensure the shuttle kept operating. Assets were sold to other airlines. Nobody lost jobs thanks to Trump.
That is what really happened. Democrats of course try to spin it into a bad thing. That's all they have.
It fascinates me that those who claim to be the most educated about things, rarely are. And here's the thing. Trump won't call you a deplorable either.
Strange... Kia, BMW, Hyundai, Toyota can build vehicles here... They cant...
Oh BTW the issue was over the focus, a rolling pile of crap, not being produced here, production going to China.
Trust me. We are not loosing with the focus being axed, and Ford is not hurting from that hunk of crap being killed dead...
I legitimately can not say one good thing about a ford focus of any year.
I rented one of those at the Calgary airport last month and it left us temporarily stranded on the Icefields Parkway halfway between Banff and Jasper neither of which was closer than 70 miles. The car couldn`t detect a key. Old battery in the key fob on a car with only 18,000 kilometers? That wasn`t the case. We eventually got to town and Budget put a new battery in the fob. Sill no effing good.

How many company warnings will it take to convince President Donald Trump that his trade war is backfiring?
In the months since Trump ratcheted up trade tensions with both China and erstwhile U.S. allies such as Canada and Europe, there’s been no stampede of manufacturers back to America’s shores. There has, however, been a growing chorus of complaints about the profit pinch wrought by U.S. and retaliatory tariffs as well as some early warnings about price increases and job cuts. Ford Motor Co., Apple Inc. and Intel Corp. are the latest to rebut Trump’s trade philosophy and lay bare his misjudgment of globalized supply-chain management, echoing grievances from the likes of General Motors Co. and Harley-Davidson Inc.
Ford pandering to unions
