That's what is likely to happen.

Avoiding a trial keeps a lot of name out the news.

Trump either pardons Manafort and he walks or Manafort talks.

Will be interesting to see if Manafort withdraws from the joint defense agreement as Flynn and Cohen did.

You do “give something” by answering questions. It depends on the questions.

Why give him a plea in exchange for nothing? That doesn’t make any sense.

Absolutely. If this occurs, Manaforts gone full on dolphin hero.

As long as he stays in he is expecting a full pardon. And with it in hand he will flee the country immediately.

I suspect he will flee the country the first chance he gets.

Why wouldn't he?

Because Putin will be waiting..
I can't believe that after all this time and conjecture I had to search so far down the list to find this thread

Mueller can't let Manafort walk---
It would just demean all the work that has been done to bring him to justice...
But I just don't think Manafort will implicate Trump---and he could
Trump WAS on the phone at Trump Tower meeting
He DID know about the hacking by the Russians
He WAS willing to use stolen emails to aid his campaign against Clinton
The timing of WikiLeaks' release of the first batch so soon after Access Hollywood broke is not any coincidence
Roger Stone knew it was happening as well...

So it will be very interesting to see what happens Friday...
Kavanaugh, Manafort---down to the wire...

You don't think he may be pleading guilty in hopes of speeding things up and getting a pardon earlier? A trial keeps it in the news and hurts Trump. If Trump is already going to pardon, which I feel like he has signaled that he is willing to do, why not save the money of the trial? Also, who knows if Trump will finish the term? Manafort may be thinking he better get that pardon sooner rather than hoping it is there later.

Just another possible theory to add to the rest
