I'm sure if a gun was involved instead of a knife, there would be all kinds of screaming and yelling about guns, no?

Whats the difference here for the "kids just need to be safe in school" crowd, this doesn't seem like a safe situation, but hardly anything on the news and no mention here from the usual suspects.

I guess we only want to keep them safe if its able to be made into a political argument about gun control?

There was also a mass shooting in California on yesterday but the media is focused on Flo. Thread fail.

LOL that's rich considering the source...

Obviously you have no clue what intellectual dishonesty is, otherwise you'd be talking about the attack, and just like with guns, if you were honest and sincere about these events, you'd want to discuss Motive, Incentive, Intent.

But since a firearm wasn't used, and you've been called out, you've nothing to offer other than cheeky remarks against the OP.

Pound sand.

Why are opioid/ opiate related deaths more significant than other deaths?

45,000 people committed suicide.

80,000 people died of alcohol- related issues.

300,000 people died of issues related to obesity.

480,000 people dies of issues related to cigarette smoking.

I respect a person's right to end their lives by the means they choose.

Unfortunately, some of these choices, drunk driving and second- hand smoke, kill other people, too.

I'm not anti-gun, but the last thing we need is guns ending up their hands right?

Why start with the last thing we need? How about all of these so-called compassionate people start with the FIRST thing which should be to help those who are mentally ill get the treatment they need, and minimize the stigma of it all?

Nope, not a thread fail, common response though for people that want to ignore issues. Good guess would be that it was ignored because it was "just" domestic abuse and "just" a hand gun, so no opportunity to vilify the ambiguous "assault rifle" who knows though.

Well you were the one who started with the backwards prioritizing, just trying to set that straight.

The numbers are more significant than the school shootings that getting all of the ban guns news hysteria. Your stats are nice, but the point has nothing to do with your digression.
