I love it when people add words to "socialist" (e.g. "democratic socialist") to make it sound better. There's some goofy third-party dude in Seattle running for senate as a "freedom socialist." It's like they know socialism sucks and they need to stick other brands on it to make it credible.

If the human condition was such that we could all truly go through life expecting never to be ambitious, envious, jealous or curious and to be content with receiving the same as everyone else despite the possibility you might work harder or simply be smarter (and for the sake of argument more lucky than others) and expect all fellow human beings including those running the wealthy government that would so generously provide all this out of the goodness of their heart, I suppose I'd would vote for a social(ist) democrat. Otherwise, no.

Lightbulb Would you vote for someone who is a Social-Democrat?

I dunno.

Just any generic social democrat? Probably not.

I need to see where they stand on the issues and what their track record is.

It's good to know you aren't a yellow dog democrat.

Now if we could do something about those orange orangutan republicans.

No, and Ill go as far as saying I hardly even think they should be allowed to run, other than the fact that we live in a free country. Their entire platform is in complete conflict with the freedoms and ideology that this country was founded on.

I've voted for 5 Pub presidents, starting with Nixon.

I've voted for 1 Dem president.

On this forum, that makes me a radical.

According to the Declaration of Independence, you have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. There is no mention there nor in the Constitution of health care, housing, food or college tuition. Those are NOT rights.

The government does NOT create wealth, it can only take it from YOU and me.
