There is no difference between the government and the mafia. Never has been. Never will be.

How this looks to at least half the nation is like a politically corrupt and undemocratic strong arming of a democratically elected administration.

That's going to have very long and sharp political ripples for decades to come. I'm not so sure how much you have to celebrate, either for personal political gain or the resulting state of our democracy in a much lower trust civic environment.

After all, lower civic trust is essentially what led to Donald Trump's election in the first place. Think on that.
it s coming across as rather true American democracy. NO ONE gets to put theire thumb on the scale.
Traitors are hated .
I trust these people more now for their due diligence to democracy. Rare for sure.

It's pretty much the other way around.
If you have anything to do with Trump, you are likely to get an anal probe by Mueller.

So far those probes have uncovered a lot of turds, and are well deserved....Thirty one charged so far.

There have been a lot of unethical scumbags come in and out of the Trump administration. The only ones that I know of who have been 'probed' had some sort of questionable dealings with Russian agents.

Manafort was previously a lobbyist for Russian/Putin interests, he was in debt, but offered to work for free, he offered a briefing of the Trump campaign to a Putin connected oligarch who he was in debt to, he was at the freaking Trump tower meeting where Russian agents were supposed to offer dirt on Hillary.

In what world, would an investigator investigating Russian election interference and possible campaign collusion not investigate Manafort?

Huge difference. Since Donald Trump has been in the oval office, his mob ties are showing. That's the big picture and should be addressed, not swept under the carpet with all of his other attributes.

... and WikiLeaks began dumping Clinton e-mails while Manafort was campaign manager. Maybe he's told Mueller something about that. I've always suspected there were communications between the Trump campaign and WikiLeaks regarding the timing of the releases.

The mafia analogies seem appropriate. Trump has basically been running a family criminal organization for some time. He has always used the threat of blackmail and intimidation to get what he wanted. He demands total loyalty and snitching is seen as the worst sin. DJT is even starting to talk like a mafia don these days.

We DO have "Republican-run FBI".
WHERE are the Hillary convictions?
Heck, WHERE are the Hillary CHARGES?

Nowhere to be found.
There's a REASON for that - the claims of Hillary criminality are all stupid - and I mean STOOPID - made up garbage spread by Fox News etc for POLITICAL PURPOSES. Plenty of really dumb people buy into it though.

Not that ANY of that is going to stop Mueller.
Trump is in BIG trouble - and so is the entire GOP come November.
