For some reason nothing happened to them afterward.

Maybe they didn't lie like it was going out of style. With this administration, everybody is lying all over the place all the time, you don't know who or what to believe. So, all the lying just draws attention to them, as to why all the lying. Here you have people going to jail for lying, and getting in trouble for lying.

Trump has every reason to panic.
Is that the reason Trump has been dodging the release of his tax returns? The tax returns will be seen by Mueller after the tax attorney's office has been raided.

Kinda sorta. Putin is alleged to have stolen $100-200 billion over the course of his career. Due to the enormous amount of Russian money passing through Deutschebank, all it would have taken was a word from Vlad to get Trump's loans done.

That is an interesting bit of synchronicity, what with Cohen also being Sean Hannity's attorney.

Cohen’s plea agreement shows that the Mueller probe is not a “witch hunt.”

Rep. Jerrold Nadler in line to chair the House Judiciary Committee, issued a statement, which read in part:
"The Special Counsel has now secured guilty pleas from President Trump’s personal attorney, his campaign manager, his deputy campaign manager, a foreign policy advisor to his campaign, and his National Security Advisor. He has filed 191 charges against more than thirty individuals—almost all of whom are in President Trump’s orbit, Vladimir Putin’s orbit, or both. The President can pretend that this investigation has nothing to do with him and nothing to do with Russia, but these indictments speak for themselves. We must allow this investigation to run its course without interference from the President or his allies on Capitol Hill. As the new Congress begins, these developments make clear that my colleagues and I must step in and provide accountability. No one is above the law, not even the President, and our job will be to check his impulse to abuse his office to protect himself. We will do everything in our power to allow the Special Counsel to finish his work and follow the facts and the law to their conclusion."

Actually it demonstrates that it IS a witch hunt. They can't get anything on Trump himself so they will go after as many people as possible in Trump's "orbit" (wth is that?) to pain a picture of guilt by association.

Mueller was allegedly writing his final report. If the Chicago raid has anything to do with Mueller then clearly he is still in evidence gathering mode and nowhere close to anything final.

Justice Department special counsel Robert Mueller offered the most compelling case yet of President Donald Trump's ties with Russia and the efforts to conceal them when former Trump fixer Michael Cohen acknowledged Thursday that he lied to Congress about the president's interest in a Moscow development project.

Across nine pages of stunningly detailed court documents, Mueller's team appeared to lay waste to Trump's oft-repeated claims that he had no business interests in Russia.

Cohen's testimony: The Moscow project ended in January 2016 and was not discussed extensively with others in the Trump Organization.

Fact:
The Moscow project was discussed multiple times within the Trump company and did not end in January 2016. Instead, as late as June 2016 – in the heat of the campaign and as Trump denied any links to Russia – Cohen discussed efforts to obtain Russian approval and briefed Trump and his family members about the project.

Was the Moscow project an illegal activity for Trump Inc to engage in?

Mueller has "allegedly written his final report"? That's news to me. Have a link?
