you mean the America that gave us Vietnam, Iraq and the rest of the endless wars and endless occupations....that America of bad trade deals that sold the middle class out..... an Obamacare that was sold of cutting premiums and health care costs and it was the opposite?
Trump has most definitely divided our country and promoted hatred. Just one example....at all his rallies he just smiles when the crowd says “lock her up”. He encourages this behavior and thrives on it
Wow where were you 2008-2016? Obama and company seemed to be the great dividers. Class warfare was a constant. What I recall was a constant stream of race issues boiling over, riots and more. Trump inherited the race issues, he didn't create them. Obama also promoted hatred Wirth his class warfare approach to politics.
Trump is a reality star and a ******. Do you really think he loves our country more then he loves himself. There is a reason why he is unable to bring our country together. He only goes to places where he gets applause because that’s what he wants the most. He needs his ego stroked.
I really think he does. He's also better than you, but you know that. He can bring us together, you just don't want him to.
There is no "leadership" in "Progressive". Only poverty, disappointment, shattered dreams etc.

Elitist liberals are really out of touch. Living in their ivory towers and gated communities, they are oblivious to the deleterious effects of "progressive" policies. It's easy for them to want open borders and unlimited illegal immigration when they personally don't have to live near the border or live near flophouses filled with illegals. Instead of throwing out the bums, seems Trump surrounded himself with new ones. Instead of "draining the swamp," we simply got another swamp to contend with, wonder about. A POTUS who instead of explaining why we needed a new health care plan, to cover people with previous conditions, we have a POTUS who explains what women will let you do to them under the right conditions.
Instead of a Noble Peace prize and a world impressed that America would actually elect a black POTUS, we get a wall that Mexico will pay for, and "thousands of Muslims" Trump said were cheering on 9/11. We get the best health care plan ever, never seen. An international trade war and now China cozying up with Russia. Instead of Michelle, we get hanky panky with porn stars and Playboy bunnies and even better, hush money paid in the $100 thousands to keep them quiet.
Not that any of this should have us wonder what else needs to be hushed...

I knew I shouldn't have started this thread, but I do surely miss the good old days before Trump started making America great again...
what i miss is the america before watergate. that was a time of unrest to be sure, with the vietnam war in full swing, as well as the cold war, but there wasnt the bull crap going on like today. we dont have people jumping up and claiming that someone is racist, or sexist, or a homophobe, or what ever else people are being called today.
back then we all had a sense of humor about ourselves and others, and we could laugh at ourselves. people had a sense of community, even in the big cities. we could debate religion and politics without trying to kill each other.
You make me wonder what sort of payoff Trump supporters are receiving, to make them pose nonsense like this. Or are they just being deceived and are too stubborn to acknowledge it? As the majority of Americans and even more of those in other countries continue to laud Obama for the great job he did and the way he gave hope for a world with advancing values and policies, you see him as an "idiot" with an ignorant cult following.
Will the grim reality of being a part of a fast-shrinking and despised minority, ever gain a foothold with Cult 45? You've all gone on a trip into a vast desert, but neglected to carry enough fuel for a return.
