I don't think genuinely poor people should be penalized anyway. Ideally, they'd have access to free or low-cost vaccines, one way or another.

See, this is the reason that dependence on the government is so dangerous. When they can't pass a law to control something, they'll just do it by threatening to take that funding away. The federal government does this with the states constantly.

They just tax everyone to death, and then "allow" you to get some money back if you're willing to give up a few of your rights.

Well if the vaccines work you won’t have to worry about getting sick.

1) Vaccines aren't always 100% effective, but they greatly reduce the odds of infection. And among the population, virtually eradicates it once critical mass is reached.

2) Vaccines are not effective on those who don't receive them, such as the very young, the very old, pregnant women in some cases, or those with compromised immune systems. Those groups of people rely on herd immunity, which is only achieved if those who CAN get vaccines, do so.

Yes the vaccines are free, but the clinics and doctors charge to administer them. Here is a $120 office visit required to get them. Read your own link, they are given to clinics and dr offices.

I think this is a good proposal. I know a few people on welfare who think that vaccines are 'unhealthy'. Liberals think they're on the forefront, but in fact, they are anti-science, disavowing the science behind vaccines, fracking, GMO's and Round-Up just to name a few.

I've not only read that stuff, I've walked the walk. I've worked in immunization clinics and doctor's offices. Under the ACA, visits for well care are supposed to be FREE at the point of service.

Plus more, up to age 18.

"What are the Costs or Fees?
There is no charge for any vaccines given by a VFC provider to eligible children. But there can be some other costs with a vaccination:

Doctors can charge a set (or standard) fee to administer each shot. But if the family can’t afford the fee per shot, the fee must be excused. A VFC-eligible child cannot be refused a vaccination due to the parent’s or guardian’s inability to pay for shot administration.
There can be a fee for the office visit.
There can be fees for non-vaccine services, like an eye exam or blood test."

Note the OV applies to people who do not have insurance which covers the OV (also the vaccines). Health departments do not charge for the office visit.

Anti-vaxism spans the political spectrum.

ETA: Here in Colorado, you cannot charge Medicaid patients an admin fee. People on "welfare" have Medicaid, as do others.

This would violate the SC decision in Roe v. Wade.
