Like I said in the many other similar threads, this was a calculated move by Nike executives. There is no such thing as bad publicity, basic marketing 101.

While grandstanding fools like that pastor were tearing up Nike's on their pulpit, us smart folks knew that Nike was making a shrewd business decision.

Now Nike stock reached it's highest ever, sales are up, and the brand is more relevant than ever.

Some of those like "you have the right to be trusted?", um yeah, that's a load of crud right there lol.
Trust is something that is earned. Don't trust anyone until you know they are trustworthy.

That "you have the right to be trusted" bullet point is enough to cause a reader with a brain in his head to not even bother reading the other nine.

Actually YES there is such a thing as bad publicity.
Exhibit A: Papa John's. He had more publicity than he knew what to do with. And now he's gone and the stock took a major bath.

You own plenty of Nike apparel. You’re gonna buy a lot more too.

Personally, I consider Nike products to be overpriced "paying for the label" clothing. If I'm going to buy Vietnamese or Chinese sweat shop goods, I can find the same items for about 20% or 30% of the price. Example: my running shorts from China, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Mexico, etc, cost me about $13. How much do Nike running shorts cost? A lot more than that, and they are of the exact same quality sans the silk-screened Nike logo.

Nike's stock is down .23 today, which is a -0.28% change. Not sure I'm seeing the same you are. Granted it was a genius corporate decision, because any publicity is good publicity. Even if they hit all time records in sales over this, I seriously doubt their slaves that produce the shoes/clothing will get any raises in wages.
