What happens when you give people lots of free time and shield them from the consequences of their actions? Like people posting anonymously on social media during the day?

A lot of people turn into monsters and terrorize others.

Face it, we are a nasty species and a lot of us need to be tied down by work to not be destructive.

No one is forced to use social media. A basic income scheme on the other hand is the forcing of a productive group to pay for an unproductive group. Now thats a crime.

People can be victims of social media without participating in it.

There's a pretty good book 'Social Democratic America' by a sociology prof who wants the US to become more like the Scandinavian countries. He is well to the left. Interestingly, he is against the idea of 'basic income' because it does not allow for enough paternalism for his tastes. People get the money, and can spend it however they wish.

I've always thought it would be a hilarious exercise in Darwinism to hand out all the money and drugs in the world to everybody and watch who can survive it. Whoever you're left with after a few years are the ones who are meant to be here.

Yes, if your ex boyfriend posts nude photos of you on social media you can lose your reputation, even if you aren't on social media.

Online mobs can call your workplace and demand you be fired or jam your phone if they get your number.

There's no wall between life and social media even if you don't participate. It bleeds over if the mob wants it to.

You're talking about the banksters and politicians vs. the hardworking tax-payers here right?

I agree, I'm tired of supporting them.
