Facebook Group Calls for NFL Boycott on Veterans Day Weekend | Fox News Insider

Quote:
A Facebook group with more than 200,000 followers is planning an NFL boycott over Veterans Day weekend.

"We will be not be watching or listening to NFL games on November 12th in solidarity with veterans around the country, as football players have continued to disrespect the national anthem, the American flag, and everything our nation stands for," it says on the Boycott The NFL Facebook page. "Until millionaire football players stop protesting the National Anthem of the United States, we'll be here," the page says.
Until The league and advertisers feel the pain, they will continue to let this practice slide and not televise the Anthem.

I support this 100%

200K is a blip.

NFL is getting 20 million viewers a week for just the NBC Sunday night game.

If they truly believe America is being disrespected like this, why are they ONLY willing to take part in a boycott? That seems like a pretty 'safe' form of patriotism!!

There is no way of knowing if people really aren’t watching.

I know people who are boycotting because Kaep isn’t on a team...

But they still post and talk about football and always find a way to see highlights.

I don’t care if you don’t watch but why do you need to keep telling people?

The NFL continues to suffer declining ratings, and revenue. This is just the tip of the iceberg. People are tired of having politics forced on them during their entertainment time when they are trying to relax, not get heartburn.

Who knew how whiny and self-involved some veterans could be? Making this protest about them is kind of pathetic.

This is not true at all...I remember when it came out that the US pays the NFL to be 'more patriotic'...and yet no one seemed to mind at all.

Where was the anger and outrage at the Govt for doing this?

Boycotting the NFL is so 2017. in the end, it will go over about as well as the Nike boycott after they had the audacity of making Kap their spokesperson.

Heck, I've been "boycotting" the NFL for decades (except for the super bowl). I didn't need a facebook page to do so, I simply don't like nor watch football.
