There are so many ethics and legal breeches in the Trump administration it could fill a book, but to many Trump supporters, it's all OK, as long as Trump or his employees do it. Why? When did cheating on one's wife with porn stars become OK? Rick Gates was guilty of conspiracy. Is that OK because he was a Trump associate? And Paul Manafort was guilty of tax fraud, bank fraud, and failing to disclose a bank account. Is that all right? And let's not forget Scott Pruitt, who resigned due to numerous ethics violations, mostly related to spending millions and millions of dollars of taxpayer dollars on his own personal items.
What about Ronnie Jackson, the alcoholic doctor who had a DWI and abused his prescription writing privileges? And now we have the Kavanaugh fiasco. What is the rationale to push him through to confirmation without an investigation? "He isn't guilty and this is a Democrat plot to derail his career?" How do you know? Or, "Maybe he did it but it happened so long ago it didn't matter." Or, "Boys will be boys and she led him on somehow." I won't even start on Trump's other ethical breeches, of which there are thousands of threads with thousands of posts defending these actions.
To all the Trump supporters out there, would you teach your kids to behave this way? Would you tell them to evade paying their taxes, cheat on their wives, drive drunk, defraud banks, and force themselves on an unwilling sexual partner? Why not? Because you are excusing this behavior of the Trump administration and staff. And it's all because of what exactly?
YES some of Trump's behavior - it's wrong and he's not a saint, we can all agree on that. He wasn't voted in to be a saint, he was voted in to keep Hillary Clinton OUT.
