The truth is, world leaders laughed at him for his bragado. He is not respected, but viewed as a fool. Go travel outside of the USA, and most people you meet in other countries think he just is not credible.

Obama made speeches all over the world, including at the U.N. Those who generally speaking supported Obama, voted for him, would generally hear a pretty good speech, generally well received by the audience.
Those who hated Obama from the get go, always heard all sorts of other things coming out of Obama's mouth, apologizing here, divisive there. Never a word that seemed fair or balanced. Always an attack based on partisan blindness and intolerance.
Now we have Trump yet again embarrassing himself and America, in OBVIOUS ways (I mean just listen to what he said that brought the laughter), and rather than consider the obvious facts of these matters, Trump supporters find a way to blame it all on "leftists," or "enemies of the people," the media.
Can't be maybe Trump supporters are missing something. Something important. Oh no. Can't possibly be anything like that...

It was a wonderful speech. He called out OPEC, Venezuela and dishonest trade partners and made it clear that US dollars will no longer be sent to countries who do not support US policy and plot against us.
The usual Left Wing Lice find fault. There was meat in his speech and that irritates the left. They prefer apology for US behavior and promises that the US will do more to spread its resources around to other countries including those that attack us.
What Trump said is true...he's done more that is GOOD for the American people than any other President.
One thing good thing is he inadvertently taught us the true value of democracy, and how tenuous and precious the right to vote really is. Many have stopped taking it for granted.
