I hope I am wrong.
I feel like we are, too. I believe in our country's history, after the country was formed, the Civil War was the worst crisis and then after that the riots of the 60's tested our mettle, and then the third crisis is right now. The division of the populace with the Trump administration.

The problem here is that we have MUCH better means of communication than in the civil war and the divide of the 60's, which works against us.

People on both extremes ARE totally out of their minds. God help us all.

The time for being gracious is effing over. This past few weeks has shown me that and I will only complain about Trump's idiotic tweets if they are false. Eff all the Dems because this crap is ridiculous.
No I won't be going out to harass Dem politicians in restaurants because that is stupid and none are in office here anyway.

Default Ted Cruz escorted out of Washington DC restaurant with wife. Hecklers and protestors yell and create a scene.

Wow.

Many things in this video are an eye opener. I'm happy Ted Cruz and his wife just casual left without exacerbating the situation. I do feel bad for his children for having to be exposed to this, but politicians take the risk in getting involved in public office.

I find it interesting that with technology and social media, it creates an environment where people congregate online and attempt to defame and bully people who they disagree with politically rather than just keep it inside the voting booths. Now we can have a conversation about politics and religions online with no limitations, with almost no consequences, and the elites who control the conversation in the media watch and observe the masses to persuade the sheep for political aims to see what sticks.

The whole incident was surrounded around Judge Kavanaugh. Whether these accusations are true or not is another story. It's crazy how the burden of proof is now always towards the defendant, instead of the plaintiff. People just want to assume these "victims" are 100% credible and are always telling the truth. Saying all women, tell the truth is just as bad as saying all women lie. People are deceptive, remember that. I know there is A LOT of grey area, but we seem to generalize and at a faster rate than we can keep up.

Of course you get all the buzzwords in this like the typical protestor. See for yourself. This is why so many conservatives in rural areas are becoming more likely Republican voters than ever. It's easy to look at this and think people from urban liberal cities to be derisive. This will definitely be a wake up call for Republicans though. Whatever they did, Americans in general don't seem to be too happy. Democrats will gain seats this November (like most midterms). Stories like this can help their base, or hurt depending on your viewpoint.

Beto came out correctly with a statement defending Cruz' right to respectful privacy in a restaurant.

Those protesters were rude, disrespectful and wrong.

This is true. I've not voted for him in the past, but I will now.

In fact, I may vote straight Republican for the first time in my life.
