I am pretty sure therapists must only report crimes committed by their patients or in cases where they think the patient is a danger to themselves or others.

She didn't plan anything 6 years ago. She had gone to the therapist for a different problem, she claims she remembered the incident during her sessions with that therapist. The article that explains it is in the sticky thread.
This case notwithstanding, it's incredibly rare that a sexual assault claim is found to be fake.
